Anyone recognize this parking lot!?! The crew picked up 40 bags full of trash along Fairview in Coalfield today😱 Also picked up a Bumper, Vacuum Cleaner, Bowling Ball and a Box Spring!

Hey all! It's getting warmer and our crew has been working so hard the past couple of weeks with the Morgan County Sheriffs office trying to get our roads to looking beautiful again! But we need your help as well. If you know of a road or area within our county that is littered please politely let us know so that we can put that area on our list. I'm already noticing a big difference and I'm so excited that our roads are starting to clean up! You can either send us a message on here or call the office at 346-0220.

This is so true for our county as well. We apologize for the amount of litter on the roadways at this time. Covid has really hit hard in our little community. It’s such a sad sight to see driving our roads right now. We will get them back to looking better, it just might take a little while. So please be patient and if you can help at all we would greatly appreciate it. If you need supplies such as bags, gloves, grippers, etc. please contact me and I will get you some ASAP.

Morristown officials said that crews from the county jail and volunteers usually help gather litter along the roads. However, they can't anymore due to COVID-19.

Hey all! We have seen a lot of disposable masks being thrown on the ground and laying in the ditches. In an effort to try and promote our anti-litter message we have made these free reusable cloth masks available to our citizens! If you would like one please send us a message with your address and we will get one sent out to you! If you are a business and would like to have some on hand please contact us and we will get some for you as well! Please help keep our county nice and clean by using reusable products as much as possible💚

This isn't a local article but it is a problem in our county as well. It is a good read and does give a better look into the problems with using disposable masks. Please consider using reusable cloth masks as opposed to the plastic disposable ones.

As our county COVID-19 cases are rising and with the busy holiday season please be mindful of where you throw your masks and gloves. Not only is this littering but it is also hazardous for the ones picking up these items. Please dispose of them in the nearest trash receptacle or wait until you get home to throw them away! Keep our county looking beautiful!
