Field Day is next week! There are still a few spots available for parent volunteers. Please sign-up, if you are willing to give up your morning or afternoon.

1st, 2nd, 4th, and Kindergarten will have Field Day in the morning.

3rd, 5th, and 6th will have Field Day in the afternoon.

Field Day is Thursday, May 25 (rain date is the 26th). The time shifts already allow for arriving 15 minutes early. Morning field day begins at 9:30 and afternoon field day begins at 1:00. Afternoon field day ends at 3:30. The final grade-level outside will help carry all equipment to the gym along....

I just did inventory of the gym shoes I have in my equipment room. Students who forget their shoes or don’t have any gym shoes can borrow from me during their P.E. class time.

If you have any shoes in decent shape that you wouldn’t mind donating, it would be much appreciated.

Kids Heart Challenge kicks off next week! A paper with more information will be coming home soon.

The American Heart Association offers programs for the classroom and for the gym to get help kids healthy and performing better in school.

We just finished up our Speed Stacking unit. Students worked hard trying to stack the fastest and break records. They also enjoyed some time free stacking.

I will continue to sell Speed Stack cups, mats, and timers until the end of the month.

I am selling Speed Stacks, once again, after taking a year break from doing so. Speed Stack Cups are $20 for a set. The pro series (red cups on the far left) are $25. Timer, stack mat, and bag set are $25.

I am set up and ready to sell from my office. 20% of funds raised go back to the P.E. Program in the form of a gift certificate to US Games.

Color choices are always first come, first serve. I cannot order a specific color or design individually. What I have here is what I’ve got.

Students in grades 3-6 were excited to show me what they could do on the PACER Test. Both the boys and girls records were broken this year, meaning I owe lunch to two students.

Tried out a new game today. Indiana Jones. The kids loved it and were exhausted after running from the Omni Kin ball for 3 straight minutes.

Photo Drop Incoming!!!!

I have done a terrible job of posting on this page this school year. That doesn’t mean we aren’t doing anything in P.E., though!

Here are a few photos I have taken between August and today.

We’ve worked on soccer, rugby, locomotor movements, spatial awareness, Heart Course, throwing/catching, and speed stacking to name a few.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving and will start back up with a Basketball unit next Monday.
