🐄🌾 What a FUN short week on the farm! 🌾🐖
We packed so much learning, exploring, and farm-filled fun into our short week! Our preschoolers dove right into our Farm Unit with a wonderful field trip to the farm, where we got to see farm life up close! 🚜🐓
Back in the classroom, we enjoyed engaging farm-themed read alouds, played with rhyming words, practiced our thinking skills with barnyard math talk, and followed directions during our chicken directed drawings. 🐔✏️ We also worked on farm animal matching, building those observation and vocabulary skills along the way!
And, of course, we had a DELICIOUS treat to go along with our farm theme—yummy cow-tail snacks from Mrs. Desender’s momma! 🐄🤎 They were a huge hit!
From literacy and math to fine motor skills, creativity, vocabulary, and hands-on experiences, our little farmers were busy learning through play every step of the way! 🌾🐮🐷
What a wonderful way to spend a short week! We sure had MOO-ch fun! 🐄💚

🐮 Mrs. St. Clair’s class has been prepping for Fair Break with all things farm-related!

🐔 The noises coming from our class this week were unmistakably from a bunch of barnyard fanatics!

🐶 We sang and danced to some favorites like Old MacDonald, The Farmer in the Dell, and BINGO!

This month in Mrs. Hahn’s room we have had a “birthday party” dramatic play available during our free play time. The kids have had pretend birthday parties all month with all the fun activities like face painting, cake building, pizza making and even making their own balloons. It has been so fun listening to the kids play together to coordinate who the “ birthday” person was, who was making the cake and who was going to be the face painter for the day. Today we decided to have a “ real birthday party.” 🥳 We made the cake by following a recipe, work on vocabulary for all the different tools👩‍🍳 we would need, had REAL face paint by Mrs. Hahn’s daughter! The kids did all the work decorating with streamers and their own piece of cake. We even had a special lunch thanks to Mrs. Fitch! It was the perfect way to start our fair break!

It may have been a short week, but it was definitely action-packed! From our farm field trip to all things farm life, we had SO much fun! 🤎 And a special thank you to Mrs. Desender’s mom for treating us to some yummy Cow Tales! 🐄🍬
