Warsaw Adult Education has seven people taking the High School Equivalency (HSE) test today.

Do you, or someone you know, need to take the High School Equivalency (HSE) test ? The "New GED" is called the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC). Here is the link to all testing sites in Indiana https://indiana.tasctest.com/Default.asp .

Warsaw Adult Education offers Orientation classes every other week for those needing to complete their High School Equivalency Diploma. Our next Orientation will be April 17-19 from 6-9 pm. These Orientation classes include Goal Setting, Career Searching, placement testing and a tour of Warsaw Ivy Tech.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed by April 15, 2018 in order to receive any financial aid from the State of Indiana.

This form must be completed each Spring prior to attending any post-secondary training program each Fall. Visit https://fafsa.gov/ to complete the form.

The next Adult Education Orientation is March 19 and 21,22, Monday, & Wednesday/Thursday from 6-9 pm. The Adult Ed Orientation involves Goal Setting, Career Search, Placement Testing and a tour of Ivy Tech, Warsaw.

Should you, or someone you know, need to earn their high school diploma that can be done at Warsaw Adult Education, located at Gateway Educational Center, Warsaw, IN.

Several years ago the State of Indiana went away from the GED as the test to measure High School Equivalency (HSE) and established the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) as the HSE test for Indiana residents, http://www.tasctest.com/.

The TASC will be offered at Warsaw Adult Education, at the Gateway Educational Center, on March 19, 20, & 21.The cost for the test is $90.00. Should the $90,00 fee be difficult to pay please contact Rick Swaim @ 574.371.5019 X 4039 and there may be help to pay for the cost of the test.

Sign up for the test must be done at Gateway Educational Center no later than 3 pm, Friday, March 16th. Contact Kari Rumple at 574.371.5019 X 4001 with questions about signing up for the test.

Remember the deadline to signup is Friday, March 16, @ 3 pm.

The FAFSA, (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), deadline is April 15, 2018. This form must be filed no later than April 15 if you wish to receive any Financial Aid from the State of Indiana. Taxes from 2016 are used to complete this form.

Be sure to go to FAFSA.gov and no other website. Remember this is the FREE Application for Student Aid, never pay anyone money to file this form by April 15, 2018.
