๐ŸŽƒ Our kindergarten students had so much fun at Knollbrook Farm! They learned about pumpkins and farm animals, went on a hayride, and picked out their very own pumpkin.

After the field trip, they made yummy pumpkin pie in a cup! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿฅง What a fun day! ๐Ÿงก

Happy ! Today, weโ€™re excited to spotlight Anissa Justice, Blind/Low Vision Liaison, for and making a difference here at WCS!

Anissa was nominated by Emily Gough, who shared how hard Anissa works behind the scenes to prepare materials for students who are blind or have visual impairments, including finding creative ways to make math and science graphs accessible. Sheโ€™s also always willing to step in and support the front office staff wherever sheโ€™s needed.

Thank you, Anissa! We're so grateful for all that you do at WCS!

We have some amazing things happening in Mrs. Klinefelterโ€™s third grade classroom!

๐Ÿ“š Student Work
Students choose work they are especially proud of and would like to have displayed on our classroom wall. We love celebrating their hard work, growth, and accomplishments!

๐ŸŒŸ Leaders of the Week
Our classroom is made up of teams, and each team votes for a Leader of the Week! Students choose a classmate who has demonstrated our 7 Habits throughout the week. Itโ€™s such a wonderful way for students to recognize and celebrate one another for making positive choices and being great role models.

We are so proud of these third graders and all the ways they are growing into confident, responsible leaders!

๐ŸŽ‰ A Harrison First! ๐ŸŽ‰

For the first time ever, Harrison participated in the Homecoming Parade with our very own Leadership Float! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

We had 13 amazing students from grades Kโ€“6 representing Harrison and showing off what it means to be a leader in our school community!

But how did they earn their spot on the float? We used our Pom-Pom Jar! ๐Ÿซ™โœจ Each time a student demonstrated our Habit of the Month, they earned the opportunity to put their name in the jar. From those names, students were randomly selected to ride on the Homecoming float!

We are so proud of all of our students who consistently demonstrate leadership, kindness, responsibility, and our school habits.

Congratulations to our 13 students who got to be a part of this special Harrison first! We loved seeing you represent our school in the Homecoming Parade! ๐ŸŽ‰

Todayโ€™s theme was โ€œDress Like a Teacher,โ€ and we definitely had some eager teachers in the building! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ

We loved seeing everyone get into the spirit and have some fun! Letโ€™s keep the Homecoming excitement going! ๐ŸŽ‰
