🌱🥬 FROM TOWER TO TABLE! 🥬🌱

We’ve got a little GREEN THUMB SUCCESS happening at WCHS! 💚

Our WCHS Cafe tower garden has officially produced its FIRST LETTUCE HARVEST! 🎉🌱 Students got to watch their lettuce grow from tiny seedlings into fresh, crisp greens—and now it’s time to enjoy the fruits (or should we say LEAVES 😉) of their labor! A big thanks to Steve and all of his guidance. Keep It Watered has been a wonderful addition to our growing team.

From growing 🌱 to harvesting 🥬 to tasting 😋, this is a delicious way to help students see where their food comes from and get excited about trying fresh, healthy foods.

Who knew learning could be this CRISP?! 🥬😄

Lunch is on us! Kids and teens 18 and under eat absolutely FREE this summer. Join us at one of our many serving sites starting Monday June 1st. No sign-ups or paperwork required!

For 20 years, we have proudly helped provide free summer meals to children in our community!!

This summer, free meals will once again be available for all kids ages 18 and younger at multiple locations throughout Warsaw and surrounding areas. No registration or ID is required.

A huge thank you to our WCS Food Service Department for the incredible work they do behind the scenes to organize meal sites, coordinate approvals and make sure students continue to have access to meals and support throughout the summer months. Their dedication continues to make a difference for so many families each year.

Lakeview Middle School and Gateway students...are you ready for a school lunch cookout? We brought in local beef burgers from Cuts of 1846 that will be grilled on the spot, fresh cut onions and lettuce from Hawkins Family Farm and Berry Hill Farm, juicy tomatoes, pickles all...on a sesame seed - (er, wait... no sesame seed) whole grain, BUN! Friday, May 15th~ See you soon in the cafe!
