The Sunshine class at Presby Preschool has been learning all about nectar and where it comes from. 🍎 🌞 🌻

They are developing fine motor skills by tearing paper, gluing, cutting, even squeezing droppers of "nectar" from the flowers. 🐛 🐝 🦋

Presby Preschool loves the Fireflies classroom. This month they are our spotlight classroom.

Our Fireflies teacher, Miss Kylah, is in her second year here at Presby Preschool and in her first year of teaching. "I love seeing their personalities come out and getting to celebrate their accomplishments!" Miss Kylah wants her student's parents to know "Your children are learning and growing every day. Give them lots of encouragement, patience, and grace as they learn to be independent. You are doing a great job!"

The Teacher Assistant for the Fireflies is Mrs. DeGaetano. She has been on staff since 2019. Her favorite lesson so far this year has been the alligator week. We had so much fun learning through the many crafts and activities.

Miss Alicia is the paraprofessional of the Fireflies and this is her first year at Presby Preschool. She loves being able to see the students grow and learn new things. Her favorite lesson was learning about the beach. Her favorite Bible verse is John 13: 34-35 "So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Each staff member brings great knowledge, care, patience, and energy to support the classroom.

🍎 🐬 The Dolphin class at Presby Preschool is full of little artists. Check out these beautiful self-portraits with their makers. 🎨

We are also little engineers, building bridges for bears. 🌉 🐻

Our butterfly, named Sonic, emerged from his chrysalis and ready to fly south for the winter. 🦋

🦊 🍎The Forest Friends class at Presby Preschool has been having tons of fun playing with letters, cutting, gluing, and sorting. ✂

The Forest Friends had fun making "apple pie." Even having a scavenger hunt of fall items. 🍎🍁🍂

Of course, playing outdoors is always a great as well!

🤖🍎The Robots class at Presby Preschool has been having a great month. We have been painting watercolors, playing with Lite-Brite and Bluey toys. 🎨🖌

Kinetic Sand, sorting beans, playing board games with tweezers all help with fine motor skills. 🫘

The kitchen and babies were given lots of love and attention. 👶🏼Several students really enjoyed doing the "yard work" in the classroom. 🍂🍁

Our kiddos are so proud of themselves when working on such a large puzzle. 🧩

We also worked on our assessments preparing for Parent Teacher conferences. 🍎

🍎 🦉 Presby Preschool's Owls class is building great friendships, learning to share and take turns.

🦖 🦕 We are also learning about dinosaurs and the letter D. We were even able to see and touch a real Mammoth femur fossilized bone brought in by a fellow Presby Preschool staff member.

🦋🐛🌞 In the Sunshine room at Presby Preschool we have been learning about "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." We have been matching foods from the book to feed to our "caterpillar." 📚

We also have been working on matching and sorting.

We've had a lot of fun outside as well. 🍎🦋🐛🌞
