Rappahannock High FFA

Over the last several months, our students have dedicated countless hours to designing, building, and perfecting their woodworking project for the Virginia Lumber Cup. Their hard work, creativity, teamwork, and craftsmanship are on full display, and we couldn't be more proud of what they have accomplished.

Now it's time for our community to help them earn recognition for their efforts!

We ended the year on an incredible note with our 3rd Annual FFA Banquet held on May 15th! It was a night full of celebration, memories, and recognition of all the hard work and accomplishments from this past year. Members were recognized with numerous awards for their dedication, leadership, and achievements throughout the year.

We were honored to welcome the Virginia FFA State Sentinel, who shared the rich history of Virginia FFA while highlighting the organization’s exciting 100th year celebration.

A special congratulations to our 6 graduating seniors! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see the amazing things you do in the future. Thank you for the leadership, dedication, and impact you have made on our chapter.

A huge thank you goes out to our sponsors, families, supporters, and community members who continue to invest in our chapter and help make these opportunities possible. Your support means so much to our students and program!

As we close out another successful year, we are already looking forward to an even bigger and better year ahead. We can’t wait to see what next year brings for our chapter, members, and future leaders. Here’s to another amazing year of growth, leadership, and FFA success!

We’re proud to recognize our dual-enrolled student, Fisher Thompson, for his dedication and hard work in both FFA and 4-H. Over the past several months, Fisher has spent countless hours caring for, feeding, and preparing his hog for many competitions. His commitment has helped him develop valuable skills, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.

As show day approaches this weekend, we celebrate all the effort Fisher has put into this project and the progress he has made along the way. Showing livestock is about more than competition—it’s about learning, perseverance, and pride in a job well done.

Be sure to join us in supporting Fisher Thompson this weekend as he enters the showring with his hog and showcases all of his hard work!

We’re incredibly excited to have our students participating in this amazing event again this year. Over the past months, they’ve committed countless hours to raising, caring for, and training their animals, developing not only important skills but also a deep sense of responsibility and pride in their work.

As they prepare to showcase their efforts early next month, we couldn’t be more proud of how far they’ve come. This event is not just a competition—it’s a celebration of their growth, determination, and passion. We encourage everyone to come out and support these outstanding students as they step into the showring and demonstrate all they’ve accomplished!

What a cool opportunity for two of our own FFA officers, Addison Vaughn and Gabby Dunaway, to attend VICE — the Virginia Institute of Cooperative Education — this past weekend!

They spent the weekend learning about leadership, teamwork, and the cooperative model while connecting with other student leaders from across Virginia. Experiences like this help our students grow as leaders and bring new ideas back to our chapter!

This past weekend, more than 40 students enjoyed friendly competition and fellowship at Graves Mountain Lodge during the Virginia Institute on Cooperative Education — better known as VICE! Thank you to our sponsors, students, volunteers and the Graves family and their staff for another great weekend event!
