A new piece of Black Bear history now stands at our Stadium. 🖤💛

Hemming Way honors former River View head football coach George Hemming, who dedicated decades to River View students and athletics. Coach Hemming led the Black Bears from 1990–1998, including the historic 1997 team that became the first—and remains the only—River View football team to reach the state playoffs.

But his legacy was about more than wins. Coach Hemming believed in developing players as individuals, building strong relationships, playing with class, and representing River View the right way.

Now, every player who walks this path onto the field will pass beneath a name that helped shape Black Bear Football.

Hemming Way. A lasting tribute to Coach George Hemming and his impact on generations of Black Bears.

Once a Black Bear, always a Black Bear. 🖤💛🏈

RVHS Drones Overhead!

RVHS offers a Drone Operations course for students in grades 9-12 to learn how to safely fly small drones and prepare for the written FAA Unmanned Aircraft General - Small certification test.

Students from this class practice outdoor flights when the weather cooperates and the drones can often be seen from the RVIS playground. They are not “spy drones” as some students thought at recess… they are just HS students gaining some experience flying drones around our campus!
