🌟 Welcome Back, ABLE! 🌟

Today we officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year, and we couldn’t be more excited to have our ABLE students back! 💙

A new school year means new goals, new opportunities, new friendships, and plenty of chances to learn, grow, communicate, and thrive. We’re so excited to see our students back in their classrooms, reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming some new ones along the way.

Congratulations, Nicole! 🥳

We are so excited to celebrate one of our Behavior Specialists, Nicole, on becoming a BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)! 🎉

Nicole has put in so much hard work to reach this accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! She brings so much care, dedication, and knowledge to the work she does with our students each day, and we are so lucky to have her as part of the ABLE team.

🌟 Did you miss us?!🌟

We’re back! Today, our ABLE staff returned for our first in-service day of the 2026-2027 school year!

Staff spent the day reflecting on data from the previous school year to celebrate our progress, identify opportunities for growth, and set the stage for an even stronger year ahead! 🌟

We also revisited ABLE’s mission and values, caught up with one another, welcomed some new faces, and spent time learning more about our incredible students and how we can best support them. 📚✨

It was a productive day filled with learning, collaboration, and connection and we’re so excited for all that this school year has in store! 💙⭐

☀️That's a wrap on ESY 2026! ☀️

What an incredible summer it has been at ABLE! Over the past six weeks, our students have worked hard, grown in so many ways, and made memories that will last far beyond the summer.

From community outings to Walmart, Panda Express, IHOP, Funway, MOD Pizza, and the movies, to cooking everything from BLTs and trail mix to sloppy joes, Italian beefs, fruit salad, cookies, and lemonade, every activity was an opportunity to build independence, communication, social skills, and confidence.

Even when the heat kept us indoors, the fun never stopped! Dance parties, our new sensory swing, and countless smiles reminded us that the best moments are often the simplest ones.

This summer also wouldn't have been possible without our incredible team. Thank you to our teachers, paraprofessionals, RBT's, BCBA, behavior specialists, operations and instructional support staff, related services, and everyone behind the scenes who poured their hearts into making ESY meaningful for every student.

To our students - thank you for making this ESY one to remember. Every smile, every accomplishment, every challenge you worked through, and every milestone you reached made this summer so special. We are so proud of how much you've grown, the friendships you've built, and the confidence you've gained. Keep shining bright! We can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish in the new school year! 💙⭐

Happy Birthday to the heart behind ABLE! Your passion, leadership, and unwavering dedication have built so much more than a school. You have created a community where students are celebrated, families are supported, and staff feel encouraged to grow.

No matter how busy your day is, you never hesitate to jump in wherever you're needed. Whether you're problem-solving, supporting a student, lending a hand to staff, or simply offering words of encouragement, you lead by example and remind us what it means to truly care.

Thank you for dreaming big, believing in every student, and inspiring all of us to be the best we can be. We are so grateful for everything you do and for the kindness, compassion, and heart you bring to ABLE every single day.

🌟 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A JULY ABLE STAR 🌟

This student brings so much joy to the transition classroom every single day. His excitement for "college" is truly contagious, and he is always eager to come to school to spend time with his staff and peers. His love for all things Disney is unmatched, and he has an incredible talent for remembering the year nearly every Disney movie premiered—a gift that never fails to amaze us!

Over the past few months, he has made meaningful progress in self-advocacy and communicating his wants and needs with confidence. Watching him continue to grow while staying true to the kind, enthusiastic, and caring person he is has been such a privilege. We are so proud of everything he has accomplished, and we are incredibly grateful to have him as such a special part of the Transition classroom and ABLE family.

Keep shining, keep believing in yourself, and keep being uniquely you. We are so proud to be part of your journey, friend! 💙

Week 5 of ESY is in the books! ☀️

The heat and poor air quality may have kept us indoors this week, but it certainly didn't stop the fun! Students had a blast trying out our brand-new sensory swing and it quickly became a favorite! We also kept the energy high with dance parties, laughter, and plenty of movement throughout the week. To top it all off, our Transition classroom put their cooking skills to work by making delicious Sloppy Joes.

While our students were busy learning and having fun, our BCBA, Behavior Specialists, and Operations & Instructional Support Specialist attended the Women in Behavior Analysis (WIBA) conference, where they gained valuable knowledge, connected with fellow professionals, and brought back new ideas to continue supporting our students and staff.

Another great week of learning, growth, and making the most of every opportunity. We're excited to finish ESY strong this week!
