Consistent professional faculty who know your child — not a revolving door of teachers. For over 20 years The Academy of Dance Arts has been a training ground for dancers in Chicago and surrounding areas. We offer training in all genres of dance. The Academy is an educational training school for all our students who wish to learn and experience the joy of dance, and all that it gives to the development of the human body.

Day one of Jr Tap Team choreography has officially begun! 🎵👟
The second “We Got the Beat” came on, the excitement was real — and it’s the perfect soundtrack for this crew, because with Miss Jamie leading the way, they’re going to get the beat, one step at a time.
Tap is one of the most joyful (and challenging!) styles to learn — every foot becomes an instrument, and every practice builds rhythm, teamwork, and confidence.
So proud of this group for diving in on day one. Day one begins the journey. 👟🥁

Dance gets called an individual sport. Solos are nice, but a strong foundation is built on trust and people that believe in you — ask the dancer who joined this summer, or the one who just moved up a level. This team already has them covered. New season starts now. 🤍

Placement class required for dancers 7+ Beginning Ballet through Level V, plus Pre-Pointe & Pointe!
✨ Ballet III–V dancers: a minimum of 3 ballet classes/week is required (or 2 ballet classes + 1 class in another genre)
✨ Pointe students: adjacent ballet classes are required, and yearly enrollment in our Summer Ballet Intensive is mandatory to continue pointe studies
