💜 This is one of the most important messages I will ever share with Illinois licensed professionals. Please read it.
Over the years, I've spoken with countless people who have let their license lapse. The number one excuse I hear is:
"IDFPR didn't notify me."
Here's the reality...
Your license is your responsibility.
Don't depend on a reminder to protect the career you worked so hard to earn. Mark your renewal date on your calendar, set reminders on your phone, and make sure you have an online IDFPR account with your current email address and mailing address. If your information isn't up to date, you may not receive notifications.
Life happens. We get busy. We raise families, change careers, care for aging parents, face illnesses, and deal with unexpected challenges.
But life also changes in wonderful ways.
One day you may decide you want to return to the profession you once loved. You may need the income. An unexpected opportunity may appear. When that day comes, you'll be grateful you kept your license active.
Your license represents your education, your talent, your commitment, and your dreams. Don't let something as simple as forgetting a renewal date stand between you and your future.
