Slush Math My name is Luke Schlessinger and I currently work as an Elementary School Math Specialist.

I have taught students from K-8th grade in math and specialize in getting students to conceptually understand what is being asked of them and then working together towards finding the best strategies that will help them solve complex problems. My goal is to use math to empower your student to feel confident in their ability to learn and acquire new skills. Math is often taught as a set of isolated

skills and steps that need to be followed but often leaves students confused on when to use a strategy. I focus on getting students to understand foundational concepts that can be applied no matter what type of problem they are working on. We will focus on increasing our number flexibility, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
