Tastings are back in our elementary schools! We kicked off the school year with visits to Mary Walter, Pearson, and Greenville Elementary Schools, where students had the opportunity to sample fresh cantaloupe. It was wonderful to see so many students curious and willing to give it a try!

Students will have another opportunity to enjoy fresh cantaloupe when it appears on our school menu in the coming weeks. We love giving students the chance to taste, try, and discover new foods!

📚 78 children have joined our Imagination Library since Dolly’s passing. 💗

I can’t think of a better way to honor Dolly than by putting more books into the hands of young children and helping them discover the joy of reading. 📖✨

There are still many more children in our county who are eligible to participate! Please help us spread the word by sharing and reposting this message so we can reach even more families.

🍎 Tasting Time! 🍎

Tastings kicked off this week with a visit to Marshall Middle! Students had the chance to sample Apple Spice Bread, a delicious item that will be featured on the school lunch menu next month. 🍏✨

One of our favorite parts of tastings is seeing familiar faces from our elementary schools as they move on to middle school. 💚 It’s so much fun to see our students grow!

Next week, our elementary tastings kick off! We can’t wait to see our youngest taste testers and hear what they think! 😋

Our community signed on to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in May 2023 to give our children the best possible start in life. Inspired by Dolly Parton’s own father, who could not read or write, the program was created to inspire a love of reading.

While our hearts are incredibly sad today, we are more inspired than ever to continue this important mission. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children—one book at a time.

Thank you for supporting our work and helping us carry on Dolly’s incredible legacy. 💕📚

Our final sensory path video is here! Check out the new Ninja Sensory Path installed this summer at Grace Miller Elementary and Mary Walter Elementary! 💪 We hope our students have a blast jumping, balancing, crawling, and navigating their way through the path! ❤️

🐻 Our Pearson Pandas are going on a bear hunt this fall! As they move down the hall or when they need a sensory break, students can explore our new path and join in on the adventure. Check it out and see where the bear hunt leads! 🐾
