Kids have a funny way of keeping you humble — and lifting you up at the same time.
They’re always curious about age, and I get asked a lot how old I am. One day, a student finally worked up the courage to ask, so I told them my age.
They paused, looked at me very seriously, and said,
“Wow… you age well.”
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Moments like these remind me that connection doesn’t always come from big conversations — sometimes it comes from the sweet, unexpected honesty of a child. And honestly? I’ll probably be smiling about that compliment for years.
