Sunday, Nov. 15 at 6:30pm, Warrenton High School will induct 36 new members into our chapter of the National Honor Society.

Remember to find ways to practice self care during this time. And help others if you can do so safely!

Remember, all NHS members are automatically bumped to 20 service hours. If you have more, that’s awesome. If you add to your service hours during this time of quarantine, just let me know and I’ll update your points sheet, which is posted in Canvas.

Huge shout out to WHS senior, and NHS member, Zach Hoelscher! He brought this idea to me before spring break and he’s committed to making it happen. Zach is preparing soil in his backyard for a ‘Sharing Garden’. He has pots of seedlings started that he will later plant, tend to, and eventually donate the produce to those in need all summer long.

I am extremely proud of Zach! We have such great kids in our Warrenton community.

NHS members, let’s rise to the challenge! If you are finding ways to ‘give back’ to others during this time of chaos, please share with me, so we can inspire others to follow. Just because we are out of school, doesn’t mean we must stop making a difference! (of course being safe is the first priority)

I am so saddened that our year ended so abruptly. I’ve had several ask about service hours. Everyone will receive recognition at graduation regardless if they have met the minimum service hour requirement of 20, or not.
Let’s all keep our fingers cross that this crisis ends soon and we are able to have a graduation ceremony as scheduled.
