And finally, thank you to all the family, friends, brothers, sisters, and fellow believers in Christ who joined us in fellowship. Your presence made this celebration truly meaningful.

As we leave today, may we continue to carry forward the spirit of St. John the Baptist by serving others, strengthening our communities, and building a legacy that will endure for generations to come.

30th Masonic District Invites Community to Annual St. John the Baptist Day Service

The Brethren of the 30th Masonic District, Prince Hall Affiliated, cordially invite the community to attend the Annual St. John the Baptist Day Service on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church, located at 39 Alexandria Pike, Warrenton, Virginia 20186.

A fellowship luncheon will be served at 1:00 p.m., followed by the worship service at 3:00 p.m. The service will feature inspiring music from Unity 540 Gospel Band, scripture, prayer, and reflections honoring the life and ministry of St. John the Baptist.

The St. John the Baptist Day Service is one of the oldest and most cherished traditions in Freemasonry. Celebrated annually by Prince Hall Masons throughout the world, it honors St. John the Baptist as a symbol of integrity, charity, and service to humanity.

The 30th Masonic District consists of Piedmont Lodge No. 75, View Tree Lodge No. 142, Metropolitan Lodge No. 161, and Midland Lodge No. 238. Together, these lodges represent more than 450 years of combined Masonic history and service to the citizens of Fauquier County and the surrounding region. Through a rotating schedule among the four lodges, this year’s observance marks approximately the 30th time View Tree Lodge No. 142 has hosted the District’s St. John the Baptist Day celebration.

For generations, Prince Hall Masons have remained committed to supporting local communities through charitable giving, mentorship, educational programs, and service initiatives. The St. John the Baptist Day Service serves as an opportunity for fellowship, worship, and reflection on those enduring values.

The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.

For additional information, please contact a member of the 30th Masonic District or View Tree Lodge No. 142.

On this day, Prince Hall and fourteen other Free Black men were initiated into British Army Lodge No. 441, laying the foundation for what would become Prince Hall Freemasonry—the oldest continuously operating Black-led fraternal institution in the United States.

At a time when freedom was denied and opportunity restricted, these 15 men chose brotherhood, character, and moral leadership. Their courage did more than shape a fraternity—it helped shape a people.

Today, we honor their names, their resolve, and their enduring legacy.
