Mrs. Riahi’s U.S. History class kicked off the year by exploring why learning history matters. Students actively participated in the learning process by creating informational posters that demonstrated what they learned about the importance of studying history. They gathered information through class discussions, reading, and research, then worked collaboratively to decide what information to share and how to bring it to life. They ended the activity with a gallery walk, where they viewed their classmates’ work and provided peer feedback.

📚✨ **Book Tasting in ELA!** ✨📚

Today, all Schmalz and Balfanz ELA classes enjoyed a fun **Book Tasting**! 🍽️📖 We teamed up with Mrs. Spota in the library, who prepared a delicious “menu” of books organized by genre. Students rotated through stations, sampled different books, and completed response forms as they explored new genres and discovered books that caught their interest.

And the fun continues tomorrow! 🎉 Students will head to the library to choose their books for **First Quarter Reading**. 📚❤️
