Starting the semester strong! β€οΈπŸ“š

There’s nothing better than welcoming our students back and seeing the energy, excitement, and connections that make the College of Education such a special place.

Here’s to a great Fall 2026 semester, future educators! 🍎✨

Life is better with… our Mules and Jennies back on campus. ❀️🐴

There’s just something about the first week when Lovinger Hall fills back up. The conversations in the hallways, the energy in our classrooms, the familiar faces, and all the new ones just beginning their UCM story.

Our students bring the energy, the purpose, and the heart that make the College of Education feel like home.

We’re glad you’re here. Here’s to a great year! β€οΈπŸ–€

Part of our UCM Library Science team is wrapping up a two-week journey in South Korea πŸ‡°πŸ‡· led by Dr. Amanda Harrison and Dr. Eric Ely!
Anchored by attending the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Congress in Busan. The program leveraged our ties to South Korea, where three of our students live and work. Highlights included visiting Myongji University and the National Library of South Korea for their course, LIS 5890: Global Information Issues.
Watch for their upcoming presentations sharing insights on global librarianship!

Meet Mr. Brady Nealon – Biology

We’re excited to welcome Mr. Nealon to the CHS team!

Hello everyone!

I am thrilled to introduce myself as your new Biology teacher! I recently graduated from the University of Central Missouri with my Bachelor’s in Secondary Education (Biology) and plan to pursue my Master’s degree after my first year in the classroom.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, grilling, listening to music, and relaxing at home. My girlfriend, Samanthaβ€”who is also in school to become an educatorβ€”and I love trying out new recipes, watching shows, and gaming together. We don't have any pets yet, but we look forward to adopting/fostering a cat in the near future!
Above all, I’m an unabashed science enthusiast and deeply passionate about showing students how biology shapes the world around us. I can't wait to share my enthusiasm for the subject and inspire the next generation of curious minds. Looking forward to a great school year! πŸ”¬πŸŒΏ

We asked our College of Education faculty one question: What’s one thing you want our students to feel this year? β€οΈπŸ–€

Now it’s your turn. What’s your word? πŸ‘‡
