Over the past few years, I’ve had several graduates such as yourself come to me and ask: “Is there some way we can give back to help other international students reach their academic goals in Computer Science?”
Well, I am excited to inform you of the creation of a New Computer Science Scholarship Fund for Graduate Students. I have teamed up with the UCM Foundation to provide a way for you to “pay it forward.”
Our program has grown from 15 students in the 2010-11 academic year to 1,747 students in the 2014-15 academic year. With this incredible growth, it is my hope that enough graduates of the program will consider giving back, so that students following in their footsteps have the best chance for success.
This new scholarship is intended to give financial assistance to students in need, or even at risk of not graduating on time or maintaining their full time status requirements.
We have an initial goal of $25,000 to provide an immediate $5,000 in scholarships and create a permanent endowment that will benefit students for years to come!
