Drew Frizell (Public Relations and Strategic Communication, Class of 2011) might be better known as the two-time national champion thrower and 17-time All-American for the UCM Mules Track & Field team. But we remember him as a valued alum of the Department of Communication. Today Drew is the director of development for Tau Kappa Epsilon in Indianapolis, Ind. He and Joe recap his time in the classroom, in the frat house and in the throwing rings in this episode of “You Can Get There From Here”.

IINTERN SPOTLIGHT: Sydney Barger
This summer, I have been working with the UCM Student Recreation and Wellness Center to develop videos showcasing everything the Rec has to offer. I've worked closely with the Outdoor Education and Intramurals programs to film and edit a variety of activities and archival footage. The internship has been more than a joy to film; the people at the Rec Center have been incredibly welcoming. They even encouraged me to start rock wall climbing, and I've made some great connections through the community there.

I felt well prepared for this internship because of the Corporate and Freelance Production class I took with Dr. Steven Price. It gave me experience working with organizations around campus, so working with the Rec Center felt familiar and allowed me to build on the skills I already had.
