We share the excitement with Midway Elementary! Congratulations on your sixth Award of Excellence recognition!
Here at Midway Elementary we are extremely proud of our SWPBIS (School-Wide Positive Behavior and Intervention Supports) program.
We introduced this program over 10 years ago and the program is implemented in every setting of the school. The multi-tiered approach to social, emotional, and behavior support that this program provides for our students has been incredibly successful. SWPBIS can be found in every aspect of our students day, from earning Viking Vouchers for following the expectations of the program to getting to spend those vouchers once a month in the Midway market. No other initiative has had a bigger impact on the daily lives of all of our students.
SWPBIS is a nation-wide program that is supported by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We work with the Central Regional Professional Development office, based out of Warrensburg. In the state of Missouri there are 547 schools that participate in SWPBIS.
Midway Elementary is proud to announce that we have once again been awarded Gold Level Status for our SWPBIS program. We are one of only 51 participating schools in the state of Missouri, as well as the only school in the Central Region, to receive this honor.
This would not be possible without the daily support of our staff here at Midway. I would personally like to thank Mr. Keller for his efforts in helping us reach this status. We are truly grateful to have the opportunity to work with such great people who are constantly going above and beyond for the benefit of all of our students.
Midway Proud!
