Fighting Mules Battalion, UCM Army ROTC Information on UCM ROTC

Our vision is to be one of the Nation's premier ROTC programs by continuing to develop adaptive warrior leaders that we are all confident in their ability to lead our most treasured commodity - the US Army Soldier. To accomplish this we must continue to: develop leaders of character by providing Cadets with quality education, training, counseling, and mentoring; sustain and improve the program's excellence by exceeding our contracting mission and exceeding or meeting our commissioning mission; recruit quality and retain the best Cadets; and empower our Cadets through meaningful participation in the conduct of the battalion's operations.

🎖️ JROTC Day at the University of Central Missouri! 🎖️

Yesterday, we welcomed outstanding JROTC cadets to the UCM campus for a day of leadership, teamwork, and learning about opportunities through Army ROTC. 💪🇺🇸

From exploring campus to getting a firsthand look at college life and ROTC, these future leaders experienced what it means to take the next step toward becoming a college student—and a future Army officer.

We’re proud to host the next generation of leaders and excited to see where their journey takes them!

Thanks to Central High School, Lee’s Summit West High School, Lee’s Summit North High School and Smith-Cotton High School for making the trip.

Lead from the front. Start your journey at UCM Army ROTC!

🔥 THE FIGHTING MULES ARE IN THE FIELD! 🔥

The Fighting Mules Battalion is taking training to the next level at Fort Leonard Wood for our Fall Field Training Exercise (FTX)!

Cadets from Central Missouri, Missouri Western and Benedictine are putting leadership, teamwork, and tactical skills to the test—operating in the field, tackling challenges, and learning what it takes to lead when the conditions get tough. 💪🇺🇸

This is Army ROTC beyond the classroom. It’s about building leaders through real experiences, pushing your limits, and becoming the kind of teammate others can count on.

From early mornings to long days in the field, our Cadets are learning, leading, and getting better every day.

Want to see what Army ROTC is really like? Come train with us. Come lead with us. Come be part of the Fighting Mules Battalion!

Congratulations to our Fighting Mules Battalion Cadets who competed for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge!

The GAFPB challenged our Cadets physically and mentally through a series of demanding events that test fitness, marksmanship, and military skill. We are proud of everyone who represented FMB and took on this unique military challenge.
