🌿 "You don't have to learn everything today. Just keep building on what you have already learned.”

One of the wonderful things about learning natural wellness is discovering how one lesson prepares us for another.

We've learned the principles of Body Temple Stewardship™ and the tool of Spirit-led Body Discernment™.

Consider something as simple as studying an herb.

At first, we might learn to recognize the plant and understand its traditional uses.

Later, we discover that same herb in a formula.

What once seemed like a collection of unfamiliar names begins to make sense.

That's the difference between memorizing information and developing understanding.

And it matters because our families don't stand still.

Children grow. Circumstances change. New questions arise.

The principles we've learned can help us recognize what we know, identify what we still need to understand, and ask more thoughtful questions.

We can study, seek appropriate guidance, and prayerfully consider our next steps.

That's one reason we've built The Wholesome Life Academy™ around ongoing learning.

Mothers can begin with foundational principles, revisit lessons, and continue building their understanding as new questions arise.

There's no need to learn everything at once.

Just keep learning.

One Principle. One Herb. One Step at a Time.🤍

Your questions will change.

Your learning can grow with them. 🌿

This may be one of the best ways to explain why The Wholesome Life Academy™ is a membership rather than simply a course.

Because stewardship isn't something we finish.

Think about yourself ten years ago.

Your body was different.

Your family may have been different.

The questions you were asking were different.

And ten years from now?

They'll probably change again.

🌿 So Why Would Our Learning Stay Still?

The Academy is designed to give students a foundation through Body Temple Stewardship™ and Spirit-Led Body Discernment™...

and then somewhere to continue growing.

Members receive continued access to the courses plus:

🌿 Weekly live Q&A with Fred
🌿 Ongoing teaching and mentoring
🌿 Rebuilding resources for 89+ body functions
🌿 100+ wellness topics
🌿 Quarterly live seminars
🌿 An ever-growing educational library
🌿 Community discussion and shared learning

You may join today because you're trying to understand one thing.

Six months from now, another question comes.

Next year, you're helping a family member.

Later, you begin studying herbs more deeply.

And something that sounded complicated when
you first joined suddenly makes sense because you've grown into it.

That's what continued learning looks like.

And Fred has intentionally kept membership at:
$24/month or $260/year.

Not so you can race through everything and declare yourself finished.

But so you can have somewhere to continue learning.

🌿 The courses may end. Stewardship doesn't.

Your body will keep changing.

Your family will keep changing.

Your questions will keep changing.

And your understanding can keep growing right along with them. 🌿🤍

🌿 PARSLEY: ONE HERB, MANY FORMULAS

What can one familiar herb teach us about herbal formulation?

We've been learning about parsley—its nutritional properties, traditional uses, and its place in Dr. Christopher's Male Urinary Tract Formula.

But parsley appears in several of his other formulas, too!

🌿 Bladder Formula
🌿 Kid-e-Dry Formula
🌿 Blood Circulation Formula
🌿 BPE
🌿 Blood Pressure Formula
🌿 Cold Season Formula
🌿 Kidney Formula
🌿 Male Urinary Tract Formula
🌿 Sinus Plus Formula

Why would an herbalist use the same plant in formulas intended for different purposes?

Let's compare two examples.

🌿 KIDNEY FORMULA

Parsley root appears alongside juniper, uva ursi, marshmallow, lobelia, ginger, and goldenseal.

Notice the relationships.

Parsley, juniper, and uva ursi have longstanding traditional associations with the urinary system.

Marshmallow brings its soothing, demulcent qualities, while ginger contributes its traditional warming properties.

Different herbs. Different characteristics. One intended purpose.

🌿 SINUS PLUS FORMULA

Now look where parsley appears again!

This time, it's combined with Brigham tea, marshmallow, goldenseal, horseradish, burdock, lobelia, and cayenne.

Notice the difference.

Horseradish and cayenne bring pungent, warming qualities. Marshmallow contributes its familiar mucilage, while the other herbs bring their own traditional characteristics.

Same parsley. Different companion herbs. Different purpose.

And that's where herbal formulation becomes fascinating!

🌿 HERE'S THE PRINCIPLE

An herb doesn't tell us everything about a formula.

We need to understand the relationship between its ingredients.

BODY SYSTEM → DESIRED SUPPORT → HERBAL PROPERTIES → FORMULA

What was the herbalist trying to accomplish?

Why were these particular plants chosen?

How might their different properties fit together?

A formula isn't simply a collection of herbs. It's a relationship between plants chosen for a larger purpose.

But studying these relationships helps us begin to understand the *why* behind herbal formulation.

And that's what Fred wants Mothers to develop -not simply a collection of recipes and remedies, but the ability to recognize patterns, understand principles, and ask thoughtful questions.

It's also the kind of learning we encourage inside The Wholesome Life Academy™, where Mothers can continue building their understanding of natural wellness.

One Principle. One Herb. One Step at a Time. 🤍

🌿 ONE HERBAL FORMULA EVERY MOTHER SHOULD KNOW: Dr. Christopher's Male Urinary Tract Formula

We've been learning about parsley.

And one of the most interesting things about studying an herb is discovering where else it appears.

Parsley isn't found only in salads, soups, and sauces.

Parsley root is also included in several traditional herbal formulas developed by Dr. John R. Christopher.

One of them is Dr. Christopher's Male Urinary Tract Formula.

This blend is marketed for nutritional support of the male prostate and urinary system.

And it offers a wonderful opportunity to study something Fred encourages mothers to understand:

Why do herbalists combine different plants into one formula?

Let's look at the ingredients.

The current formula contains nine herbs:

🌿 Cayenne Pepper - traditionally valued as a warming culinary and herbal ingredient.

🌿 Ginger Root - familiar for its warming qualities and traditional digestive uses.

🌿 Goldenseal Root - a plant with a long history of traditional herbal use.

🌿 Gravel Root - traditionally associated with urinary herbal preparations.

🌿 Juniper Berry - an aromatic botanical historically used in urinary and digestive herbal traditions.

🌿 Marshmallow Root - valued in herbal traditions for its mucilage, a plant substance that becomes slippery when mixed with water.

🌿 Parsley Root - our featured herb, traditionally included in urinary herbal preparations.

🌿 Uva Ursi Leaf - historically associated with urinary herbal use, but not appropriate for everyone.

🌿 Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero Root) - traditionally studied and used as a tonic herb.

Each plant has its own characteristics, traditional uses, and precautions.

And that brings us to the larger lesson.

A formula is more than a list of ingredients.

Traditional herbalists combine plants with a particular purpose in mind.

But understanding a formula requires more than recognizing its ingredients.

We should also ask:

Why were these particular plants chosen?

Which part of each plant is used?

How is the formula prepared?

Learning herbs isn't simply about memorizing what a formula is called.

It's about understanding the plants, the traditional reasoning behind their combination, the limits of the evidence, and how to make thoughtful decisions.

That's the kind of learning Fred wants to encourage.

Not simply, “What should I take?”

But, “What do I need to understand?”

Because confidence means knowing how to find your next step.

💚 One Principle. One Herb. One Step at a Time.

🌿 Have you ever looked at the ingredients of an herbal formula and wondered why those particular plants were combined?

*Note: The Wholesome Life is not affiliated with Dr. Christopher's company, receives NO compensation from products mentioned, and does NOT sell them ourselves. We share these formulas because we trust them, appreciate Dr. Christopher's testimony that he sought the Lord's inspiration in developing them, and are grateful for the blessings they have brought to many families. If you have access to your own herbs or trusted products, follow your stewardship and support it with quality resources.

🌿 Sometimes the Most Overlooked Things in Our Kitchens Have the Most to Teach Us.

Have you ever stopped to think about how many things we use every day without really understanding them?

We open the spice cabinet.

We reach for familiar ingredients.

We prepare meals using herbs we've known about for years.

And sometimes, we don't give those plants another thought.

Take parsley.

For many of us, it's simply a garnish.

Something green to make a plate look pretty.

But when we begin studying parsley, we discover there's much more to learn.

We find that it contains valuable nutrients.

We learn about the plant compounds researchers are studying.

We discover its history in traditional herbal practices.

We begin to understand why different parts of a plant, different preparations, and different amounts can matter.

And perhaps most importantly, we discover how much we still have to learn.

That's one of the things Fred loves about teaching Mothers.

He doesn't want them simply memorizing lists of herbs and what someone says they're good for.

He wants them to understand principles.

To become curious.

To ask thoughtful questions.

To learn how to distinguish traditional knowledge from what modern research has demonstrated.

And to develop the confidence to keep learning.

Because when we begin understanding why, we approach things differently.

Instead of asking only, “What herb should I use?”

We might begin asking:

What do I know about this plant?

What nutrients and compounds does it contain?

How has it traditionally been used?

What evidence supports those uses?

What precautions should I understand?

And where can I learn more?

Those are the kinds of questions that help us become thoughtful students of the natural world.

I love the reminder in Doctrine and Covenants 88:118 to “seek learning, even by study and also by faith.”

There's something beautiful about approaching God's creations with both curiosity and reverence.

We can study carefully.

We can seek His guidance.

And we can recognize that learning is a lifelong process.

We don't need to become experts in every herb.

But imagine what we might discover if we chose to really learn about one plant at a time.

One familiar herb.

One new principle.

One small opportunity to grow in understanding.

💚 That's the spirit behind our One Herb Every Mother Should Know™ series.

Not simply collecting interesting facts.

Learning to recognize, appreciate, and thoughtfully use the plants around us.

🌿 Here's a little challenge for this week:

Choose one herb already sitting in your kitchen.

Find out its botanical name.

Learn what part of the plant you use.

Discover something about its nutritional properties or traditional history.

And try using it in a new recipe.

You might be surprised how interesting something so familiar can become.

🌿Which herb would you love to understand better?

🌿 ONE HERB EVERY MOTHER SHOULD KNOW: PARSLEY

Have we been overlooking one of the most useful herbs in our kitchens?

Most of us recognize parsley.

It's the little green sprig decorating a restaurant plate. The handful of leaves sprinkled over a finished dish. The herb we buy for one recipe and sometimes forget about in the refrigerator.

But parsley deserves a little more attention than that.

Its botanical name is 'Petroselinum crispum', and it has been valued for generations as both a culinary herb and a plant used in traditional herbal practices.

Let's look at what makes it so interesting.

1. Parsley provides important nutrients.

Fresh parsley contains vitamins K and C, vitamin A precursors, folate, and minerals including iron and potassium.

These nutrients serve important roles in the body.

Vitamin K supports normal blood clotting and bone health.

Vitamin C contributes to normal immune function, collagen production, and iron absorption.

Vitamin A supports vision and immune function.

Folate helps the body make new cells.

And although parsley is nutrient-dense, remember that the amount of nutrition we receive depends on how much we actually eat.

So a small garnish provides much less than a generous serving.

2. Parsley contains interesting plant compounds.

Parsley contains naturally occurring flavonoids, including apigenin and luteolin.

Scientists study these compounds for their antioxidant and other biological properties.

That doesn't mean eating parsley has been proven to prevent or treat specific diseases. But it gives us another reason to appreciate the complexity of this familiar plant.

3. Parsley has a long history in traditional herbal practice.

Herbal traditions have used parsley in connection with digestion, fluid balance, and urinary wellness.

Modern research has explored some of these uses, including possible diuretic effects.

4. Parsley is wonderfully practical.

Here's where we think Mothers can have some fun.

Try adding fresh parsley to:

🌿 Scrambled eggs or omelets
🌿 Homemade soups and stews
🌿 Chicken, fish, or roasted vegetables
🌿 Green salads and grain bowls
🌿 Homemade pesto or herb sauces
🌿 Salad dressings and marinades

It's a simple way to add fresh flavor and variety to family meals.

And because herbs add flavor without requiring extra salt, they can be especially useful when we're trying to make thoughtful choices in the kitchen.

5. Parsley reminds us why learning principles matters.

Fred often encourages Mothers to learn about the plants they're using rather than simply memorize lists of what an herb is supposed to be good for.

What nutrients does it contain?

What part of the plant is used?

How has it traditionally been prepared?

What does research actually tell us?

Are there precautions we should understand?

Those questions help us become better students of the natural world.

And that's part of the heart behind The Wholesome Life™.

We want Mothers to become curious, capable learners who seek God's guidance, study carefully, and grow in understanding.

💚 A challenge for you this week:

Choose one meal where you would normally use parsley as a garnish - or not use it at all - and make it a meaningful ingredient instead.

Then take a few minutes to learn something new about this remarkable little herb.

Do you prefer curly parsley or flat-leaf Italian parsley? And what's your favorite way to use it?

🌿 Learn the herb. Understand the body.

🌿 Sometimes the Most Helpful Thing We Can Add to Our Day Is Something That Helps Us Carry the Rest of It.

We often think of our time in terms of everything that needs to be done.

And when we're already stretched thin, adding something new can feel impossible.

But not everything that takes time creates another burden.

Some things equip us.

Think about learning a skill that eventually makes a familiar responsibility easier.

Or finally understanding something that used to leave you confused.

Or developing a habit that helps you approach a difficult situation with greater peace.

The time you invested didn't make every responsibility disappear.

But it gave you something valuable to bring to those responsibilities.

That's one of the ideas behind Body Temple Stewardship™.

Fred isn't expecting Mothers to just add another complicated project to their lives.

He's inviting them to develop understanding and skills that can become part of how they care for themselves and their families.

And those skills grow through learning and practice.

Not all at once.

And not without questions along the way.

But gradually.

Line upon line.

With God's guidance.

The goal isn't to do more. It's to become better equipped to do what matters.

💚 If you've been wanting to learn more about natural wellness but haven't known where to begin, The Wholesome Life Academy™ offers a structured place to start.

Most course videos are around 20 minutes, and the daily Body Temple Stewardship™ review and application process can take approximately five minutes as you become familiar with it.

Membership is $24/month or $260/year.

🌿“I Just Can't Add One More Thing.”

Fred says this is one of the most common things he hears from mothers who are interested in learning Body Temple Stewardship™.

“I'd love to learn, but I just can't add one more thing.”

And it's completely understandable.

Mothers carry a remarkable number of responsibilities.

There's always something that needs attention.

Someone who needs help.

A decision to make.

A meal to prepare.

A concern to think through.

And sometimes, the idea of signing up for a course - even one you're genuinely interested in - feels like adding another responsibility to an already overflowing day.

But I'd like to invite you to consider a question.

What if learning to care for your family's wellness isn't simply another responsibility - but preparation for the responsibilities you already have?

Think about how much time we can spend wondering what to do when something doesn't seem right.

We search.

We read.

We ask questions.

We compare opinions.

Sometimes we feel more confused afterward than we did when we began.

Now imagine gradually developing a foundation of understanding.

Learning how the body was designed.

Becoming familiar with principles that help you ask better questions.

Learning a process you can return to when new concerns arise.

And continuing to seek God's guidance as you determine your next step.

That's what Fred wants mothers to gain from Body Temple Stewardship™.

Not another obligation.

Not another expectation to do everything perfectly.

And certainly not the pressure to become an expert overnight.

He wants Mothers to become increasingly capable of caring for the bodies and families God has entrusted to them.

But what about the time?

Most of the course videos are approximately 20 minutes long

A few are a little longer, of course.

And as students become familiar with the process, daily Body Temple Stewardship™ review, troubleshooting, and application may take approximately five minutes.

That doesn't mean every situation can be resolved in five minutes.

It means the daily practice itself can become a manageable part of your routine.

You don't have to complete the entire course in a weekend.

You don't have to master everything before you begin.

You can learn a principle.

Think about it.

Pray about it.

Practice what you've learned.

And continue when you're ready.

Because Body Temple Stewardship™ isn't about doing everything.

It's about learning to do what matters most with greater understanding.

And sometimes, investing a little time in learning today can help us approach tomorrow's responsibilities with greater confidence.

Not because we'll always know the answer.

But because we're learning what to do when we don't.

💚If you've been wanting to learn but feel that your days are already full, we'd love to invite you to explore The Wholesome Life Academy™.

You'll find structured coursework, supporting study guides, and opportunities to practice what you're learning.

Membership is just $24/month or $260/year.

🌿You Don't Have to Know It All to Begin

Have you ever looked at something you wanted to learn and thought, "I wouldn't even know where to start"?

It's an understandable feeling.

Especially when the subject is something as personal and important as caring for your family's wellness.

There can be so much information.

So many unfamiliar words.

So many different opinions.

And so many questions.

But learning doesn't require us to understand everything before we begin.

It requires a willingness to start.

To study.

To ask questions.

To practice.

To recognize what we don't yet understand.

And to keep growing.

That's one of the things I appreciate about Fred's approach to teaching Body Temple Stewardship™.

The coursework begins with foundational principles and gradually introduces the processes, demonstrations, and applications that build upon them.

Students have study guides to support their learning and materials they can revisit as their understanding grows.

They aren't expected to become experts overnight.

They're invited to become students.

And I think there's something encouraging about that.

Because being a student means you're allowed to be learning.

You're allowed to ask questions.

You're allowed to revisit a lesson.

You're allowed to discover something you didn't understand the first time.

And you're allowed to grow at a thoughtful pace.

The goal isn't to know everything. It's to become increasingly capable of learning what you need to know next.

💚 Inside The Wholesome Life Academy™, you'll find organized coursework, supporting study guides, and an opportunity to work toward a certificate of completion.

If this is the way you've been wanting to learn natural wellness, come learn with us.

Membership is just $24/month or $260/year.

🌿 More Than Videos. A Course You Can Complete.

Have you ever taken an online class, watched several lessons, and then wondered how much of what you learned you'd actually remember?

Or perhaps you've spent years collecting wellness information.

You've saved articles.

Watched videos.

Read books.

Listened to people share what worked for them.

But when a new concern arises, you still find yourself wondering where to begin.

There's a difference between having access to information and having a course of study that helps you develop understanding.

That's one of the reasons we're so excited about the learning experience inside The Wholesome Life Academy™.

Fred Davies doesn't simply want Mothers to collect more information.

He wants them to understand the principles behind what they're learning.

To ask thoughtful questions.

To observe.

To practice.

To seek God's guidance.

And to become increasingly capable of approaching their family's wellness with knowledge and discernment.

A Course Designed to Help You Learn

The Body Temple Stewardship™ coursework includes 18 numbered study guides, along with additional educational resources that help students follow the lessons and revisit important principles.

The learning journey begins with foundational understanding.

Students explore the principles of Body Temple Stewardship™ and Spirit-Led Body Discernment™.

They learn about the steps of the Body Temple reset.

They watch real-life examples involving Fred's students and family.

They see how the process is demonstrated, how questions arise, and how challenges are approached.

Then the coursework moves into nourishment, rebuilding, scriptural principles, and further troubleshooting.

Along the way, the study guides help students organize what they're learning and return to the material when they need a refresher.

And students have the opportunity to work toward a Certificate of Completion.

But here's what I particularly love about this approach:

The goal isn't simply to finish a course. It's to develop understanding that continues growing after the course is complete.

A certificate can recognize the work you've accomplished.

But the knowledge, skills, and principles you've studied are what you carry forward.

You won't always know every answer.

You won't always recognize every challenge.

And you won't suddenly have everything figured out.

But you can become more familiar with the process of learning, seeking God's guidance, observing carefully, asking better questions, and determining your next thoughtful step—including when to seek professional care.

That's a beautiful kind of growth.

And you don't have to accomplish it all at once.

🌿 If you've been wanting a more organized, faith-centered way to learn about natural wellness, we'd love to have you join us inside The Wholesome Life Academy™.

Membership is $24/month or $260/year.

💚 When you're learning something new, what helps you most—watching someone demonstrate, having written study materials, practicing it yourself, or a combination of all three?
