Senior Parking Space Painting Update - with rain forecasted to come through shortly and lower temps, there may be a small window to paint this afternoon. Painting will only be held from 12:30 - 4:00 today. An additional day to paint will be provided next weekend for those who have not yet got the chance to complete their spots.

No painting can be done this week as activities will be taking place at the school each day and each evening in the student parking lot.

Please be aware of and discuss the expectations for cell phone and electronics usage at WAHS with students. Cell phones and electronics are not to be used anywhere in the building during assigned class periods.

If weather does not allow for painting this weekend, make-up dates will be announced.

Additional painting night for Seniors:

Seniors may paint parking spots TONIGHT from 3:30 to 8:00 since the weather looks promising. No painting can start until after 3:30 and marching band has completed practice. All spots must be pre-approved and parking spot registration completed before painting can be started.

Open House Clarification
Thursday's Open House is for all students in grades 9-12. The Freshman Orientation portion is for 9th grade students to learn new building procedures as they enter the high school. From 5:30 - 7:30, all students and families in grades 9-12 are welcome to tour the building but meetings will be conducted with 9th grade students in the Auditorium with the times listed below. Only 9th grade students will be able to pick up laptops on this night. Grades 10 and 11 will have laptops distributed the first week of school.
9th Grade Orientation schedule:
A - G - 5:30
H - P - 6:15
Q - Z - 6:45

As summer winds down, now is the perfect time to help children ease back into school routines! 📚⏰
Starting small adjustments before the first day of school can help students feel more rested, focused, and prepared for a successful transition back to the classroom.
A few helpful ways to get back on track:
🌙 Gradually move bedtime earlier each night
😴 Re-establish consistent sleep and wake-up routines
📵 Limit screen time before bed to support better sleep
🥞 Practice school-day morning routines, including breakfast and getting ready on time
🎒 Begin organizing school supplies, backpacks, and schedules
📚 Set aside quiet time each day for reading or learning activities
Getting back into a routine takes time, but small changes now can make those first weeks of school smoother and less stressful for the whole family!
