Our Bradley County 4-H members and Hermitage FFA students went out the past two Tuesday’s in the community dropping off flyers to local businesses for the upcoming Bradley County Fair Livestock Premium Sale! These hard-working ag kids have put countless hours into their livestock projects this year, and we’d love for our community to come out and support them.

• Auction: Starts at 12:30 PM

Bradley County Extension Office recently hosted Under Construction, a series of beginning sewing classes. Students learned parts of the sewing machine, sewing terms, how to thread the machine and wind the bobbin. Students practiced their skills on paper and progressed to sewing a simple pillow. The programs conducted at the Extension Office, are not only fun, but participants hone their math skills, listening skills and gain real world knowledge that will help them to become productive citizens. Bradley County 4-H hosted its first Kids Chef Challenge today. Students had to prepare a dish using Arkansas fruit and submit it for judging. During judging, members told the nutritional information of their dish and answered questions from the judges. Prizes were awarded to the first place winners in each division. First place went to Blueberry Delight in Intermediate Division and Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie in Cloverbud Division.
