Motherhood showed me parts of myself that I didnโt know existed.
The instinctual need to protect you at any cost.
The waves of frustration and guilt.
The ultrasonic hearing with every twitch, sound, and breath you take.
The endless second guessing.
The way my heart shatters into a million pieces when you struggle

Motherhood revealed parts of myself that I didn't know existed.
How I yearn to do better and be better for you.
How watching you grow causes both grief and intense gratitude.
The way I miss you when youโre not with me, while also yearning for moments of solitude.
How I feel the constant weight of responsibility to do right by you.
The strength I discovered to take care of you, regardless of my own defeats, illnesses, or hardships.

Motherhood has taught me about parts of myself that I didnโt know existed.
