We will be doing Tips for a cause at the new Darlene Lounge on Tuesday, November 3rd. This is going to be a special tips for a cause because it is a costume party and kids are invited! We decided to do it after halloween so you won't need to worry about their costumes getting dirty. There will be custom alcoholic drinks, mocktails, a kids drink, and hotdogs! A formal facebook event will be posted soon. It is also voting day so bring your 'I voted sticker' for a free hotdog!

We play this at Chickadee from time to time. The kids love it, especially when they get to be the ‘actors’. We should play more often. I challenge you to play at home.

Little voices
Laughter
Crates being stacked
Grasshoppers
Water being poured
Pounding
Screaming
Squishing

Didn’t realize how many sounds we were encountering during the week until I started putting videos together to make this post. Going to intentionally slow down in week 2 to be present and enjoy the sounds and moments with these children. 💙 Here’s to an amazing year!

The kids at Chickadee looooove to cover their bodies in paint.

In our first year we learned that we cannot have the black face paint available.

Not because the children were intentionally trying to inflict harm but because we know that their intentionality does not always dictate the impact it would have on others.
