A special thank you to Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi for curating this amazing historical exhibition, The Soul of Black Folks, at Fitton Center for Creative Arts, Hamilton. Ohio!opening reception this evening admire 30*creatives showcased important quilted images and stories from the African American perspective! ( August 14th). When possible plan to visit exhibit till September!!!

I am so honored to have two of my quilts in this exhibition.

My art quilt honors my Aunt Dr AdaLois Sipuel Fisher who by “ ORDER OF THE COURT “ of the Supreme Court in 1948 was unanimously granted admission to the University of Oklahoma Law School. Oklahoma’s “ separate but equal law denied admission of black students/segregation due to the color of your skin.
