One thing about our little Pre-K program… we’re going to celebrate our babies! ❤️📚
Today I did one-on-one alphabet recognition checks with each of my 4-year-olds, and I was SO proud of them. Watching their confidence shine while they recognized their letters reminded me why I love keeping our program small.
One of the biggest benefits of a smaller Pre-K class is the individual attention. Every child gets one-on-one time, we quickly identify where they need extra support, and we can build a plan around THEIR learning instead of hoping they keep up with a large group.
💡 Developmentally, by around age 4, many children are expected to recognize most uppercase letters and are beginning to identify many lowercase letters. By the time they enter kindergarten, recognizing all 26 uppercase and lowercase letters is a strong goal to work toward. Every child develops at their own pace, but regular practice and individualized instruction make a huge difference.
