One more day until Ann Braden is at Tory Hill. Do you have your tickets yet?

Ann Braden writes books for middle schoolers about learning to stand up for themselves, even when it’s hard. Her debut novel, THE BENEFITS OF BEING AN OCTOPUS, was called one of “the essential middle school reads from the last decade” by Edutopia and was listed among NPR’s Best Books of 2018. Braden's next book, FLIGHT OF THE PUFFIN, tells the story of kids navigating family, school, and social pressures while listening to the truth of who they are on the inside. Her newest book, OPINIONS AND OPPOSUMS, is a fast-paced, funny novel that will resonate with anyone who’s ever been afraid to say what they think or question the status quo. Braden, a former middle school teacher, lives in Southern VT with her family.

The Warner Historical Society presents the Tory Hill Authors Series with Ann Braden at 7pm on Saturday, August 19th, at the Warner Town Hall. A dessert reception with the authors follows the speaking program. Tickets are $10 and available at the door, at MainStreet BookEnds of Warner, and at www.toryhillauthorsseries.com
Books are available at the event and at www.mainstreetbookends.com/event/thas-ann-braden
