Congratulations to ADDIE HOLT, one of our Connors Collegiate CattleWomen and a member of the Connors Livestock Show Team, for being selected to serve as an intern at the National FFA Convention! There was a record number of applicants this year competing for a limited number of positions. The applicants were selected by an application and interview process where each individual demonstrated their experiences, leadership, and commitment to the agricultural industry and the FFA organization.
Addie stated, "I am honored to have been selected as one of only 12 collegiate students nation wide for this internship with the National FFA Organization. The National FFA Convention will be especially meaningful, as I will also have the opportunity to receive my American FFA Degree."
The American FFA Degree is the highest degree awarded by the National FFA Organization. We are super proud of Addie for being selected as an intern for the National FFA Convention and for receiving the prestigious American FFA Degree! We know a lot of hard work and long hours in the barn went into receiving these honors!
When asked about what this all means to her, Addie replied, "To be able to celebrate this milestone while serving the organization in a professional capacity makes this experience even more significant. I look forward to gaining valuable experience, building connections with agricultural leaders from across the country, and representing Connors State College on a national level."
The National FFA Convention is held in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 21st-24th with set up beginning October 16th. It will definitely be a busy and eventful nine days for Addie Holt!
