Eagle Explorers Language Camp Adventures!
Our Eagle Explorers have had an amazing summer so far filled with learning, discovery, and adventure!
Throughout camp, students have strengthened their language skills through hands-on activities in literacy, science, math, art, and movement while rotating through our exciting campsites: Camp Create, Camp Discover, Camp Move & Groove, Camp Read & Write, and Camp Count It, Add It & Subtract It.
This summer’s adventures also took us beyond the classroom! 🚍
We visited the Northside High School FFA Farm, where students explored agriculture, learned about animals and farming, and built new vocabulary through real-world experiences.
We visited the Bookmobile at Lake Joy Primary and enjoyed a Book Picnic at Center Park, combining reading, language development, and outdoor fun in a memorable literacy experience.
We are incredibly proud of our Eagle Explorers for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to try new things. Thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for helping make this summer such a success!

🦅At our Mega VIP PBIS Splash Party, we celebrated the Parkwood Eagles who had attended all previous behavior celebrations AND had NO MIRs all school year! This is quite an accomplishment and we couldn’t be more proud of our students who really know what it means to have Parkwood SWAG each and every day! 🦅

The Houston County School Nutrition Program will continue operations this summer, offering meals free of charge to children ages 18 and under. Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive meals.
There will be three ways for families to participate in the Summer Meals Program. Daily walk-in meal service will be provided at two school locations, vans will serve meals in eligible neighborhoods, and three sites will offer a weekly meal pack pick up service.
