After a fun week of learning all about community helpers, we wrapped up the week with our annual Touch-a-Truck event! 🚒🚓🚌

Our community truly showed up and showed out! We are so thankful for all of our community partners who took time to bring their vehicles, share what they do, and make this such a fun and memorable morning for our preschoolers.

Thank you for giving your time and investing in our little ones.

🧸We had the BEST time celebrating National Teddy Bear Day at Lighthouse Preschool yesterday!

Our little ones brought their teddy bears to school for a day of fun and adventure! A huge thank you to Mrs. Victoria for turning our hallway into a real-life “Going on a Bear Hunt”! Some of our classes traveled through the tall grass, swam through the water, squished through the mud, and finally made it to the cave to find their teddy bears!

Some of our classes also enjoyed a picnic with their bears, while others used binoculars to hunt for hidden bears throughout the building!

What a fun day of imagination, adventure, and lots of bear hugs! ❤️

We had so much fun showing off our favorite teams for College Game Day Spirit Day! Our students and teachers brought the school spirit, and we loved seeing all the team colors and jerseys!

Lighthouse Preschool would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of the Lighthouse Baptist Church volunteers who have given their time and energy to our preschool over the past few weeks!

From holding doors and greeting families to selling T-shirts, helping families take those precious first-day pictures, drying tears, helping students acclimate to their classrooms, serving coffee, mowing the lawn, weed-eating the playground area, and so much more. You have truly been there for us every step of the way!

We have officially finished our first week of preschool, and we can honestly say we could not have pulled it off without our incredible volunteers.

We also want to give a BIG shout-out to our amazing church staff! They have worked tirelessly throughout the summer to help our preschool team get everything completed and ready for the start of the school year. From tackling projects and renovations to jumping in wherever they were needed, so much of their time and effort during their work day went into preparing our preschool area this Summer for the new school year.

This ministry truly takes a village, and we are so thankful for the many people who have helped make Lighthouse Preschool what it is. Whether you completed a project, volunteered your time, brought food, greeted a family, held a door, wiped a tear, served a cup of coffee, or simply showed up to love on someone, please know that you made a difference.

Thank you, Lighthouse Baptist Church, for loving, supporting, and serving our preschool ministry so well.

Parent Night is complete,
Meet the Teacher is done,
The classrooms are ready,
And tomorrow brings the fun!

The halls are bright,
The plans are in place,
And we’re counting down
To see each little face.

First day of school, here we come! 🍎

Our Preschool teachers kicked off Pre-Planning last week with welcome-back meetings and a full day of First Aid, CPR, AED, Choking, and Stop the Bleed training! ❤️

A huge thank you to Josh Humphrey with Wilderness Integrated Leadership Development Training Center for coming out and providing such valuable training for our team. We are proud to share that all of our Preschool staff are now certified through the American Heart Association for the 26-27 school year.

And a big thank you to the members of Lighthouse Baptist Church for helping provide breakfast Monday and Tuesday morning for our staff, and to Courage to Crumbs for the adorable (and delicious!) back-to-school cookies!
