📚✨ Don’t forget about all the amazing resources available through our public library system!
Houston County libraries are part of Georgia’s PINES system, which connects more than 300 libraries across the state — meaning your library card gives you access to far more than just the books sitting on your local branch shelves. 📖🌎
With a library card, families can enjoy:
• Free eBook and audiobook apps
• Passes to museums, theaters, parks, and educational attractions
• Summer programs and activities
• Access to books from libraries all across Georgia
Can’t find the book you want at your branch? Request it, and the library can have it delivered right to your local location! 🚚📚 Whether your child loves graphic novels, audiobooks, chapter books, or nonfiction, the public library is the best FREE resource for summer learning and fun. Visit houpl.org for the current calendar of events!

The Houston County School Nutrition Program will continue operations this summer, offering meals free of charge to children ages 18 and under. Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive meals.
There will be three ways for families to participate in the Summer Meals Program. Daily walk-in meal service will be provided at two school locations, vans will serve meals in eligible neighborhoods, and three sites will offer a weekly meal pack pick up service.
For more information including dates, times, locations and questions, visit www.hcbe.net/snpsummermeals.
