Calling all Pre-K families of students enrolled for the 2026–2027 school year!
We are excited to meet our newest Lion Families at our first session of Pre-K Family Launch Institute (FLI) on Thursday, June 11, from 9:00–11:00 AM at Lake Joy Primary School.
During Pre-K FLI, families will learn about our Pre-K program, daily routines, school expectations, ways to support learning at home, and what to expect as your child begins this exciting journey into school.
Invitation letters were mailed last week, so be sure to check your mailbox! We also ask that all families complete the Family Survey, as it helps us get to know your child and prepare for successful PreK FLI sessions. Our students may be out for the summer, but learning never stops for leaders!

Today, representatives of our Guiding Coalition Leadership Team attended the Houston County School District Leadership Summit focused on strengthening Teacher Clarity and enhancing the impactful PLC work happening across our schools. We are excited to continue learning, growing, and bringing back effective strategies that support both teachers and students.

The day ended on a high note with an inspiring message from Gerry Brooks that reminded us all of the importance of positive school culture and encouraging students every day.

We are grateful for opportunities to collaborate, reflect, and continue building excellence together for the students and families we serve! 🦁

Wednesday is the LAST day of the school year! 🎉

📚☀️ Get ready for a summer full of reading adventures! The Houston County School District Summer Bookmobile is rolling into Houston County School District at Lake Joy Primary School bringing hundreds of books, smiles, and fun all summer long! 🚍✨

Join us every Tuesday & Thursday in June from 9 AM–12 PM to borrow books, celebrate reading, and keep those young minds growing all summer long. Open to all HCSD students ages 4–12! 📖💙

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible community for showing up and celebrating our students! We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from our local agencies, churches, community organizations, representatives, and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office for helping make this celebration so special.
