As principal, I am eager to continue to work together to foster a successful learning community for all of our students. Shirley Hills Elementary past and present accolades and accomplishments are not the works of a one man band. The faculty and staff here at SHES are very goal-oriented and focused when it comes to fostering a positive learning environment, continuing traditions, instilling high e

xpectations and fostering high student achievement. I am proud to say we have been recognized for the second year by Georgia Department of Education as one of Georgia’s 2014 Title 1 Highest Performing Schools. We work hard and we celebrate often. Our traditions like the Father Daughter Dance, CRCT Carnivals, Snow Ball, and Good Behavior Celebrations as well as our new initiative Watch Dogs (Dads of Great Students) set us apart. I would like to encourage each of you to get involved. Your support is invaluable. I know you would also like to see our students compete in this global economy. Communication is one of our top priorities, so please check the website as it is updated weekly. Our doors are always open to answer questions or to handle any concerns you may have.
