Perdue Elementary School is named for one of Houston County's most noted Superintendents and located between Highway 96 and Cohen Walker Parkway on Sutherlin Drive. WOW!!! Our DPES family and community stepped up big time! 4,553 bottles in our donation drive for Central Georgia Cancer Care Center!!! That brings our total to just over 19,200 bottles since 2016. What a blessing YOU all have been the past 10 years and to know the lives you all are touching is wonderful. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us make a difference in lives right here in our community literally across the street from our school.

No matter if you’re going through cancer or just another battle in life please don’t ever forget…You Matter! You are NOT Alone! You are LOVED!!!

We are so glad to have our Perdue Bulldog Family back for the 2026-2027 school year. The students are adjusting well to school and are working hard each day.

SAFETY: Safety is always our top priority, and our plans are reviewed regularly. Our students did a great job last week following the protocols for Code Blue, Code Yellow, and Code Red.

A big thank you to everyone who has already completed their handbook, downloaded the Houston County School District App, and the Here Comes the Bus app. If you have not completed it, please help us get to 100% no later than this Friday, August 21, 2026.
As of today, we have approximately 192 handbooks left. Please take care of this immediately if you have not. This is a district requirement for all families.

Please note that your child will not be able to attend our After School Program, participate in any clubs, or attend upcoming field trips until the online handbook is complete.

Reminders:
• Parents will have at least 2 weeks' notice on tests and projects, so they know the due dates.
• August 18: Boost collection for Cancer Center Donation Drive—please send tomorrow if you have any donations!

Wow! We had a couple of big donations come in for our donation drive for the Central Georgia Cancer Care Center. First thank you to the Ladies of Philoptochos at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Macon, Georgia for donating over 200 bottles. Make sure to check out their Central Georgia Greek Festival coming up in October.

Also a huge shout out to Brian Trent (former APD at DPES now Director of Technology) and his Technology Department for donating 1200 bottles! So blessed to have community support whether it be from local organizations or people affiliated with our school.

Today is the deadline so get those donations in. We can’t wait to see the total number when it’s all said and done! All of you are making a difference right here in our community!
