CGTC Signs Collaborative International Education and Training Agreement with National Defence University-Kenya

CGTC is among NDU-K's First U.S. Higher Education Partners

“Meaningful collaboration drives the mission of both our institutions,” said Dr. Allen, “We look forward to the ways our commitment to each other develops into solutions that make our communities safer and prioritize the skills for a global workforce.”

CGTC President, Dr. Ivan H. Allen, and Executive Vice President, Jeff Scruggs, signed the agreement alongside NDU-K Vice Chancellor, David K.Tarus, Brigadier General Guhad Noor, Commandant, who were joined in attendance by Defence Forces Technical College (DEFTEC), Captain Collins Kibet, Aid de Camp (ADC) to the Vice Chancellor, and Colonel Christopher Mbutu, Defense Advisor, Kenyan Embassy, Washington, DC.

🎓🚀 THE NEXT GENERATION OF TITANS IS READY FOR TAKEOFF!

The CGTC Academy High School students are off to a GREAT start!

Our newest Academy students recently participated in Jr. Titan Takeoff: College Success 101, getting their first look at the tools, resources and support available to help them succeed as CGTC students. The orientation sessions took place in the Academic Success Center across our campuses as students kicked off the new fall term.

But what makes the CGTC Academy different? 👀
It’s more than just a high school experience. The Academy gives qualified students an opportunity to work toward their high school diploma while building college credentials and career skills at the same time.

Through the Dual Achievement Program, students ages 16–21 can pursue a high school diploma while completing technical certificates, a technical diploma or an associate degree in a specific career pathway. That means students can begin building their future NOW—with hands-on career training, college experience and a pathway toward in-demand careers.

✨ Who can qualify?
The Dual Achievement Program is designed for students ages 16–21 who meet the program's admission requirements, including completing at least six specified high school courses before admission. Students who were previously enrolled in high school must officially withdraw from their previous secondary program.

From College Success 101 to career preparation, our newest Titans are learning that success doesn't just happen—it starts with showing up, getting prepared and taking that first step. 🎯

🪿📚 EVEN THE GEESE ARE BACK TO SCHOOL! 😂

Apparently, they heard the Titans were back on campus and decided it was time to hit the books, too. We caught them right in the middle of class! 👀🎓
And honestly… maybe the geese are onto something.

🪿 Geese know the power of teamwork. When they fly in a V formation, the birds work together to make the journey more efficient. Research shows the formation can help reduce energy use for birds flying behind the leader.

🪿 They take turns leading. When the lead goose gets tired, another takes its place. Sounds a lot like knowing when to step up, support your team, and keep moving forward.

🪿 They learn from those who came before them. Young geese can learn migration routes by following their parents.
So if the geese are investing in teamwork, leadership, learning, and following the right path…
