How is AI really showing up in Georgia’s manufacturing industry? (Or is it?)
Georgia AIM is partnering with Georgia Tech researchers on a new public engagement research project to hear directly from manufacturers about how AI is (or isn’t) being used across the workplace. From shop floor operations to HR, accounting, purchasing, and marketing, every experience matters.
Researchers are looking to speak with manufacturing employees at all levels, and no prior AI experience is required. Interviews are flexible, confidential, and can take place virtually or in person.
Why participate?
✅ Help identify real AI training needs
✅ Shape future workforce programs
✅ Share your perspective — whatever it may be
If you or someone in your organization is interested, email [email protected] to take part.

What happens when you give people the tools — and the confidence — to create?
At Fort Valley State University’s Fab Lab, a Georgia AIM partner, the answer is unfolding every day.
From first-graders learning the basics of quantum theory to adults exploring new technologies, the lab is helping Middle Georgia residents turn ideas into real solutions.
Director Heaven Whitby puts it simply: “The basis is always cheering you on and encouraging you to shoot for the stars.”
With support from Georgia AIM, the Fab Lab is reaching even more communities through mobile labs, hands-on workshops, and a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and grow.
Because innovation doesn’t start with technology. It starts with people.

AI isn’t just about algorithms, it’s about the data behind them.
Join the Georgia Tech Supply Chain and Logistics Institute on Thursday, April 2, for a free webinar exploring how data supply chains impact AI success.
Many AI projects fall short not because the technology isn’t strong, but because the data feeding it is disconnected, unreliable, or unclear.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
✔ Map your data from source to decision
✔ Identify gaps and bottlenecks
✔ Build stronger systems that actually support AI in action
The webinar features Rosemarie Santa González and connects directly to Georgia AIM’s work supporting manufacturers through the Rural Supply Chain Initiative.
