Many of my classmates have had varying educational experiences while in our clinical rotations. Today, I was able to watch 5 surgeries: 1) Total Knee Arthroplasty, 2) Elbow Mass Extraction, 3) Shoulder Rotator Cuff Repair, 4) ORIF Bimalleolar Ankle Fracture, and 5) Hip Abductor Repair and Debridement. It was amazing and I learned so much!

We learned about Kinesio Taping. It is used to reduce pain, support joints, help with swelling, activate/deactivate muscles, mimic the elasticity of human muscle, promote healing, and help with the stability of muscles. It is often used with shin splints, tennis elbow, & patellofemoral syndrome.
