Why should Christians, preachers, and Bible students learn Biblical Greek?

In Luke 1:1–4, Luke explains that he carefully investigated the things concerning Christ so that Theophilus could know the exact truth about what he had been taught. The New Testament was originally given in Koine Greek, and learning that language gives us the opportunity to examine the inspired text more closely.

In this lesson, we discuss why Biblical Greek matters and why learning the Greek alphabet, vocabulary, grammar, accents, and paradigms is far more than an academic exercise. Every sermon, commentary, lexicon, doctrinal discussion, translation, and word of encouragement from the New Testament ultimately begins with the original text.

One more amazing day at Polishing the Pulpit (PTP) with amazing brethren visiting the Georgia School of Theology (GST) booth. The day ended with an amazing lesson from brother Greg Dismuke teaching on Jesus, the Cardiologist.

We are grateful for another day filled with faithful preaching, biblical teaching, meaningful fellowship, and opportunities to grow in our knowledge and service to God.

What a blessing it is to be at Polishing the Pulpit (PTP) and to see the beautiful fellowship shared among Christians who are committed to growing in the knowledge of God’s Word.
For Georgia School of Theology, moments like these are a wonderful reminder that biblical education is not simply about gaining knowledge—it is about growing in Christ, strengthening one another, and preparing ourselves to serve the Lord and His church more faithfully.
