Today is a bittersweet day at Performa as we say goodbye to Justin Carr, who has been an incredible part of our studio as a voice instructor.

Justin has made a lasting impact on so many of his students, helping them grow as singers, performers, and young artists. His influence has also extended well beyond our walls, making a significant impact on the musical theatre community throughout Middle Georgia.

As Justin moves on to the next chapter and begins teaching from his own location, we’re grateful for the time he spent with us and everything he contributed to Performa.

Justin, it’s been a pleasure having you as part of our team. We wish you nothing but success in what comes next! 🎶🎭

🎹 Day one with “Clocks”!

Will just started learning Coldplay’s “Clocks” today, and he’s already getting that unmistakable piano part under his fingers. Still in the beginning stages, but a great start!

We love seeing students build a song from the ground up — especially one they’re excited to play. 🎶

Performa Lesson Studios 5th Annual Spring Recital at The Muse Theatre was a success! Like last year, we had 2 separate sessions chock full of talented students who worked hard on preparing their pieces to perform. Thank you to all of our parents for your support and of course, our students for their dedication and practice. Lastly to our exceptional instructors who make Performa the studio it is! Performa Lesson Studios presents our 5th Annual Student Recital at The Muse Theatre in Perry, GA — and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate our students!

Join us this Sunday, May 17th for two sessions — 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM — featuring solo performances from our vocalists and pianists, plus a couple of rockin' band numbers from our guitar and drum students. These kids have worked hard all year, and Sunday is their moment to shine. 🎶

If you still need tickets, reach out to us — we'd love to have the whole family and friends there to cheer them on!

🎹🇦🇹 When your piano instructor goes on vacation… he ends up at Beethoven’s grave in Vienna!

Our very own Josh Jarrett is soaking up some well-deserved time off in one of the most musically historic cities in the world — and of course, a visit to the great Ludwig van Beethoven himself was on the itinerary. We’d expect nothing less from a guy who teaches piano for a living! 😄

We think a little Beethoven pilgrimage counts as professional development, Josh. Safe travels — we’ll see you back at the keys soon!

🎹 Meet Edward Sanders, Jr. — Performa's newest piano instructor. If your child (or you as an adult) are just starting out — Edward is exactly who you want in your corner.

Edward specializes in the foundation of beginner piano and learning to read music. That means your student isn't just pressing keys — they're actually understanding what they're playing from day one.

His approach is structured, encouraging, and built around the student's pace and confidence.

His background speaks for itself. A jazz-trained pianist and graduate of The Los Angeles Recording School in Sound Engineering, Edward has worked alongside Grammy-winning producer Nate "Danja" Hills on projects for Whitney Houston, Usher, and Mary J. Blige. He earned the Herb Alpert Scholarship four times as a student at The Herb Alpert Music Center (HAMC).
