Performa Lesson Studios 5th Annual Spring Recital at The Muse Theatre was a success! Like last year, we had 2 separate sessions chock full of talented students who worked hard on preparing their pieces to perform. Thank you to all of our parents for your support and of course, our students for their dedication and practice. Lastly to our exceptional instructors who make Performa the studio it is! Performa Lesson Studios presents our 5th Annual Student Recital at The Muse Theatre in Perry, GA — and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate our students!

Join us this Sunday, May 17th for two sessions — 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM — featuring solo performances from our vocalists and pianists, plus a couple of rockin' band numbers from our guitar and drum students. These kids have worked hard all year, and Sunday is their moment to shine. 🎶

It's that time of year again! Announcing Performa's 5th annual studio wide music recital. Sunday, May 17 at The Muse Theatre in Perry, GA. There will be 2 sessions and times will be announced soon. Excited for our students to show off their musical progress!

🎹🇦🇹 When your piano instructor goes on vacation… he ends up at Beethoven’s grave in Vienna!

Our very own Josh Jarrett is soaking up some well-deserved time off in one of the most musically historic cities in the world — and of course, a visit to the great Ludwig van Beethoven himself was on the itinerary. We’d expect nothing less from a guy who teaches piano for a living! 😄

We think a little Beethoven pilgrimage counts as professional development, Josh. Safe travels — we’ll see you back at the keys soon!

🎹 Spotlight on one of our own! Gavin Yuhas is putting in the work as he prepares his solo for our upcoming May recital! 🎶
Gavin is a student of the talented Lewis Smith, and if you know Gavin, you know he never takes a shortcut — he shows up, he practices, and it shows. We can't wait for everyone to hear what he's been working on!

🎹 Meet Edward Sanders, Jr. — Performa's newest piano instructor. If your child (or you as an adult) are just starting out — Edward is exactly who you want in your corner.

Edward specializes in the foundation of beginner piano and learning to read music. That means your student isn't just pressing keys — they're actually understanding what they're playing from day one.

His approach is structured, encouraging, and built around the student's pace and confidence.

His background speaks for itself. A jazz-trained pianist and graduate of The Los Angeles Recording School in Sound Engineering, Edward has worked alongside Grammy-winning producer Nate "Danja" Hills on projects for Whitney Houston, Usher, and Mary J. Blige. He earned the Herb Alpert Scholarship four times as a student at The Herb Alpert Music Center (HAMC).

Today we want to give a special send off to one of our long time students, Bridget Gay! She has been with Performa since we opened taking drum lessons with Drew King for over 4 years and participating in 3 of our studio wide recitals. Today is Bridget's last lesson with us as she plans to spend the rest of her senior year finishing out strong and prepping for college. She will be attending University of North GA, majoring in engineering come fall of this year.

We couldn't be more proud of her as she moves into a new chapter of her life!

Rock The 90’s USA (Hugh, Drew and Lewis!) are performing at The Robins Financial Capitol Theatre in Macon tonight. It's going to be a packed out show! All ages accompanied with an adult. All your favorite 90s anthems! Doors at 7, show at 8!

🥁 Congratulations to our Student of the Week — Jasmine Ferguson! Jasmine has been putting in serious work with instructor Drew King, sharpening her drumstick technique, rudiments, and sight reading skills. And this week she hit an exciting new milestone — she's started learning jazz swing patterns as she prepares to join her school's jazz band! We are so proud of you, Jasmine. Keep up the amazing work! 🎶
