Today we held our first monthly FFA meeting of the year!! Our theme was Back To School Water Bash and we had the opportunity to have a waterslide, corn hole, tug of war, baseball, and food. This meeting was so much fun and we hope this fun carries through the rest of our meetings. Thank you for everyone coming and remember to officially join our FFA Chapter by filling out a form that can be found in an advisor’s classroom!!

This afternoon Vice President, Max Coble and President, Sydney Askew went to The State of Agriculture summit. Hosted by the Perry area chamber of commerce. They had the opportunity to speak with Georgia officials about our FFA program and hear about agricultural in Georgia.

Kudos to Aliyah Pettiford, she had the opportunity to attend The Ag. Discovery Program this summer at The Fort Valley State University. The experience sparked an even greater interest in agriculture while providing hands-on learning, and leadership development skills.

Local FFA member Maddie Harris is running barrels this week and the National Barrel Racing World Championship this week at the georgia National Fair in Perry! Good luck Maddie!!
