CALL FOR PHOTOS! Workshop13's ArtWorks Gallery in Ware, MA seeks photos from residents of Ware and its surrounding areas for an upcoming exhibition - Americana: Pictures of Our Community.

ALL are welcome to enter; you DO NOT need to be an experienced photographer! There is no entry fee. Send us your pictures by October 11th to be included in this show.

🎨 THE ANSWER IS...

The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali.

Congratulations to everyone who guessed correctly!

Also known as "Melting Clocks" or "Soft Watches," The Persistence of Memory is one of the most famous paintings by one of the most famous Surrealist artists. One of the key principles of Surrealism is a focus on expressing the unconscious mind. Many artists worked from dreams, but Dali pioneered a process he called the "paranoiac critical method," which involved deliberately inducing hallucinations as a way of accessing his subconscious. (Don't try it at home!)
