Good afternoon this very hot Sunday afternoon. Word is severe storms later tonight.
Yesterday at the Quiet Corner hookin we had a wonderful event. I want to thank them for having me as one of their vendors. It was so nice seeing lots of old and new faces and thank you to all who stopped by my booth to say hello or make a purchase. Below are a couple pictures of my booth and some of the shoppers after we opened. Yes Nancy I got you. The lady in the chair is my friend and helper Patty. She handles the majority of the sales while I roam around chatting and checking out what people are hooking or making. There is also a picture of 4 Flags that my friends Carol and Julie gave me. They were making Flags all day. They are the same girls who came here to teach a class on making the Primitive Mittens and Stockings back in November. They are so primitively talented if that’s a word. They were also so helpful when Patty and I had to pack the truck to head home. I know there’s a couple of you who wanted the Lighthouse pattern but it sold out. I will print some and post them here in a day or two.
So for me I’m taking a break for a couple days to get my hands into other things I want to make and then it’s time to get ready for Fall. Enjoy today whatever you choose to do. Sandy

Good evening everyone. I was gone all weekend spending time in Maine on Wells Beach doing what I love to do when in Maine, and that’s beach walking looking for seaglass. My son and I hopped around to several beaches and I must say we found some good pieces. He’s better at seeing them than I am but I was very excited to find a red piece, the one color I have never found. Well I’m back home and doing a lot of flower planting and have more to do to get ready for The Quiet Corners hookin on June 13 at The Woodstock Fair grounds in S. Woodstock CT.

Good evening to all. I went to the Brimfield Flea Market today and it was so nice for walking around. The day was on the cool side but sunny. I didn’t find much except an old green watering can for my potting shed but that was it. The hunt for things I’d like is part of the excitement of going and I’ve been going for 50 years or more. I may go another day this week but rain is coming in and it’s no fun walking the fields in the rain but with all the years I’ve been going, I’ve walked in all kinds of weather.
Tonight I’ll give you a tip. Do not leave your rugs on the floor where the sun comes in. The last few days I’ve been rehooking areas in one of my rugs that got too much sun.
Here is a round pattern for you to see. It’s called Watering Can and is 24” round, hand drawn on primitive linen. I also added a braided border to the finished rug using wool colors I used in the rug. Price is 60.00 and includes postage. For MA. Residents the price is 63.44. To purchase use the link below. Thanks for checking us out and enjoy the rest of
your evening. Sandy

Good afternoon everyone. I’m happy to say Joann Smiley came forward and the pattern Country Shops is on her way.
Today I’m posting the pattern Town Square 20x54. It is hand drawn on primitive linen and 112.00 includes postage. For MA. residents the price is 118.56 with postage and sales tax included. You can use the link below to make a purchase. The first picture is the one I hooked. The second picture the pattern was hooked by Gail Shopmann who did an incredible job. Her loops are perfect as are her colors. Gail likes to hook with a lot of color and it shows. It’s beautiful. Again this is a good pattern to use lots of your leftover wool from other projects. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy seeing 2 versions of the same pattern. Have a great rest of your day. Sandy
