📐🔺 Great Things Are Taking Shape in 8th Grade Math! 🔷📏
Our Southside K–8 8th Grade Spartans were putting their geometry skills into action in Mrs. Lowe’s Math class! ❤️💛
Students used GeoBoards to explore geometric shapes, patterns, angles, and spatial relationships through hands-on learning. Instead of simply seeing geometry on a page, students were building, manipulating, creating, and explaining their mathematical thinking!
We love seeing our Spartans engaged in learning that makes math visual, interactive, and meaningful! 💡👏
Way to go, Mrs. Lowe and our 8th Grade Math Spartans! 📐⭐

🔬✨ SCIENCE IN ACTION AT SOUTHSIDE K–8! 🧪🎈

Ms. Muncy's students have been getting hands-on with matter and discovering that just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t there! 👀➡️💨

They have explored matter, mass, and weight while investigating the properties of gases. Students saw firsthand how a gas can expand a balloon and even put out a flame, proving that gases are present and have an effect, even when they are invisible! 🎈🔥

They also explored solubility and investigated what happens when different substances are mixed together. Students observed how some substances dissolve while others do not, and how we can still see and observe the effects of what is happening! 🧪💧

The best learning happens when students can see it, touch it, test it, and discover it for themselves! ❤️💛
