NCHE is thrilled to open applications for year two of our Learning Independence in Kansas Schools (LINKS) grant!
3-8 grade teachers from Kansas are invited to apply for this professional learning initiative, led by NCHE in partnership with the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas, the Kansas State Department of Education, and the Kansas Council for History Education.
Participants engage in more than 100 hours of professional development, through in-person and virtual instruction. We also offer place-based learning experiences in Kansas and beyond, including a Summer Field Study in Charleston, SC, and a Seminar on Civic Application/Summer Colloquium at the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas. Travel and lodging for the Summer Field Study, Saturday Seminars, and Seminar on Civic Application/Summer Colloquium will be covered by the grant.
Participants receive a $2,000 stipend upon completing program requirements.
