Little Love Bugs Learning Center

Little Love Bugs Learning Center Helping to prepare young children for the future.”
It is our commitment to do more than just care for children while their parents are away.

Our commitment to Excellence:
“Promoting self-esteem and confidence in every child that attends “Little Love Bugs” through the curriculum and decisions provided and taught here at the Center. It is our goal for every child that attends “Little Love Bugs” to develop and grow into a positive and confident child. We also feel nothing is more important than the self-esteem of each individual child. Ev

ery child needs to feel good about themselves. Quality childcare includes a safe and secure facility, hiring and training loving and caring employees who are committed to helping children learn. Providing healthy nutritious meals and good hygiene practice are also important. It is our commitment to be one of the best childcare providers by going the extra step in promoting excellence in every aspect for the children. Our teachers will bring unconditional love and emotional security, a sense of routine and an opportunity to be creative and resourceful. The Center is open for parents to visit and observe their children at anytime. All children, regardless of race, color or religious beliefs, are equal and participate in our non-discriminating environment. All daily activities are age and stage appropriate and will promote the individual child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social well-being and growth. We promote curiosity and exploration. We establish an environment for learning and creativity. The Center provides:
~Opportunity for individual self-expression
~Recognition that each child is an individual.
~Respect for personal privacy. The Teachers promote social development by:
~Providing guidance to children in developing and working out ways of getting along with one another.
~Interacting with children in ways, which emphasize and foster attitudes of mutual respect between adults and children.
~Demonstrating respect for all other persons as individuals.
~Encouraging children to do things independently, help with daily routines, and offer a lot of comfort and love.

I am proud to announce that Little Love Bugs Learning Center had our annual unannounced KDHE inspection last week with ZERO citations in our classrooms and kitchen!

Our incredible team shows up every single day with dedication, professionalism, and a genuine love for the children in our care. They consistently go above the expectations to maintain the higher standard and take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every child.

Each teacher received a $100 bonus. It is well deserved and a nice incentive for taking pride in your work.

•Why We Strive to Be KDHE Citation-Free•

Being KDHE citation-free is about so much more than simply passing an inspection. It reflects the standards we hold ourselves to every single day.

As a director and teacher, I do my best to lead by example and holding myself to the same expectations I ask of the teachers I work alongside. Our children’s safety, care, happiness, and well-being will always come first.

When parents walk through the doors of Little Love Bugs, I want them to feel confident knowing their children are safe, loved, supervised, and cared for the way they deserve to be.

Our reputation matters to us. The trust our families place in us is something we never take for granted, and we work hard every day to earn it, protect it, and maintain it.

I asked each of our teachers to share why they personally strive to be citation-free. Their answers are a reflection of the heart behind Little Love Bugs and the commitment they bring to work every day.

I’m incredibly proud of this team and the dedication they show to our children and families. Being citation-free is an accomplishment, but the reason behind it is what matters most.

💚 To the Parents Who Show Up Every Day... Thank You. 💚

Parents play one of the most important roles in keeping children safe. Every hug, every conversation, every boundary you teach, and every time you listen without judgment helps build a foundation of trust and protection.

We are incredibly grateful for the parents and caregivers who work tirelessly to love, support, and protect their children.

But we also recognize a difficult reality.

Not every child has a safe parent or caregiver. For some children, the person who should protect them is the one causing them harm. Child sexual abuse can happen in any family, and sometimes the abuse occurs within the home.

That's why protecting children must be a community responsibility—not just a family's responsibility.

One of the most powerful ways we can help protect every child is through body safety education. Teaching children about body safety, boundaries, safe and unsafe touches, and that they have the right to tell a trusted adult if someone makes them feel uncomfortable gives them knowledge that can save them from abuse.

Every child deserves to know:
💚 Their body belongs to them.
💙 They can say "no" to unwanted touch when it's safe to do so.
💚 They should never be asked to keep secrets about touching.
💙 If someone is hurting them or making them feel uncomfortable—even if it's someone they know or love—they can tell a safe adult, and they deserve to be believed.

Let's continue working together to create a world where every child is protected, every survivor is supported, and every child knows they have a voice.

One of my favorite parts of what we do is watching friendships last long after preschool ends. 💜 This week, some of our Little Love Bugs alumni met up at the K-State Women’s Basketball Camp. Although many of these girls now attend different schools, it’s so special to see them pick up right where they left off. The classrooms may have changed, but the friendships they built here continue to grow. Moments like these remind us that preschool is about so much more than learning letters and numbers. It’s about creating connections that can last a lifetime. Go Cats! 🏀💜

“Miss Heather, can we sing to you?
“Absolutely!” 🎵🎤💕
Miss Daisy always has the best songs and some amazing little voices in her class. 💋
I’m never too busy to stop what I’m doing for a special performance just for me. These are the moments that make my day and remind me why I love what I do.
So, I’m sharing this little performance with all of you. Enjoy! ❤️
