Gananda Dollars for Scholars, Inc. Gananda Dollars for Scholars (GDFS) raises funds for scholarships supporting Gananda graduates. It is local philanthropy at its finest.

We reward not only academic success but also community service, helping students discover their potential and give back beyond the classroom. The Gananda chapter of Dollars for Scholars (GDFS) raises scholarship funds for qualified Gananda graduates. Our award winners have demonstrated a strong work ethic in their studies, and have contributed to their community. GDFS believes that it is important

for students to not only earn money for college, but to have the experience of community service. Volunteering helps the community, teaches students what they are capable of, and how they can use their abilities and talents outside of school. Dollars for Scholars is the largest grassroots volunteer-driven scholarship organization in the United States, with nearly 1,100 locally based chapters. The money raised for scholarships stays where it belongs--for the students' awards. According to the Wall Street Journal's personal finance magazine, Smart Money, Scholarship America is consistently on its list of the top education charities.

💙🎓 And that’s a wrap for the Gananda Dollars for Scholars Class of 2026! 🎓💙

Tonight was a powerful reminder of what makes our community so special.

Because of the generosity of our scholarship sponsors, families, faculty, community members, and supporters, nearly $52,000 in scholarships was awarded to 24 deserving students. These students represent the very best of Gananda — leaders, volunteers, athletes, scholars, and community-minded individuals who work hard, give back, and strive to make a difference.

At Gananda Dollars for Scholars, our mission is to help students pursue their educational dreams while celebrating the values that make our community strong. Tonight, that mission came to life in a truly inspiring way.

To every donor, sponsor, volunteer, educator, family member, and supporter: thank you. Your generosity is more than a scholarship—it is an investment in a student’s future, a vote of confidence in their potential, and a reminder that an entire community believes in them.

Tonight, because of you, 24 students will take their next steps with a little more support and a lot more encouragement.

We are humbled, grateful, and incredibly proud to be part of a community that continues to invest in the next generation.
